She has a point to be fair but the programme itself was shit, matches were very good but the actual programme was shit.

When you tell your audience goodbye, don't be surprised when they leave.

People about to shit on her but she has a point. A women's program never got that hype and time before.

Two weeks > Seven months
It's not their fault, there's too many hours a week to sustain such long storylines these days no matter who is involved. Even the greatest bookers/writers in wrestling history would struggle in those conditions, Raws current creative team stand no chance.
Plus after seven months the face lost in a way many hated. Bryan vs The Authority went on forever was even worse on a week to week basis but at least it had a satisfying ending.

People about to shit on her but she has a point. A women's program never got that hype and time before. No she doesn't, this isn't either/or. It is perfectly reasonable to say "Yes we like that the women are getting more time but the booking they've gotten is piss poor" . It is not crazy for then to be talking about how sad it is that they are having to force and manufacture history and moments (which is saying something when dealing with something where every is manufactured) when the women have shown they can get people invested in the stories they tell without being beaten over the head with buzzwords and some forgettable "historic" moments. The only thing this is, is "Dammit, take it and shut up".

Two wrongs don't make a right. The matches were good and I'm sure it's gonna help the other women in the long term, but it still deserves some of the same jokes and yawns we gave Del Rio vs Sheamus 6 month feud.

A long storyline doesn't immediately equal a good storyline. I never saw people getting upset about the storyline because they had main events or new match types the women didn't get before. People didn't like it because they didn't feel like the storyline warranted it. Were the matches good? Sure! But dammit if watching Raw every week hasn't been a drag with these two being the only women promoted while hot shotting the title. Which isn't a women only issue admittedly but I'm rambling at this point.
Point is you can bore me for two weeks or you can bore me for seven months. If you're gonna bore me I'd rather it be for two weeks.

They didn't have a 7-month program, though. They had a 7-month-long series of matches. Which is kinda the problem.

The "fans wanted (X), we gave them (an interminable version of X) so now they complain!" argument is as predictable as daylight.

When the WWE's idea of a feud goes a little something like
Week 1- Match Week 2- Rematch Week 3- Re-Rematch Week 4- Tag Match with two other people who are feuding PPV- Match Week 5- Rematch (etc)
You cant really blame fans for complaining. Especially when this cycle seems to go on for several months

A seven month program is fine, my problem was with them flip-flopping the title all the time. I think there should've been a few successful title defenses in there where the other has to try to worm their way to another title match either through defying the odds (triple-threat, handicap, etc,..) or by pure brutality (off-screen attacks, injuries, etc,..) but they way they did it just really seems like Sasha's kryptonite is a PPV title defense whereas Charlotte's is a RAW title defense. Mix it up a little bit and I have no problem with this program, long as it was, it just became too much of 50/50 booking towards the end and while that made the ironman match stipulation make sense, it happened long after that conclusion had been drawn.

That's not Sasha, it's a Sasha fan account It attributes the info to her twitter account. But a quick scan, and I'm finding nothing. Not sure how far back I need to go, though

When I think of a good long program I think of Raven-Dreamer. Lasted a long time but also elevated other wrestlers, had side stories and then a good conclusion. It never really felt like we were watching a repeat.
With this I find it boring because it feels like we keep getting the same thing on repeat over and over.

Sasha, or a fan account, there is a point. However (to me at least) the bad taste of this program comes from how blatant it is that they are trying to force a classic "for the ages" "historic" feud out of it, and it's just not organic.

WWE didn't do them any favors, with their constant "HISTORIC" backslapping. And that's what a lot of this was, WWE patting themselves on the back, for doing something that should've been done years earlier. Women's wrestling didn't start in 2015. WWE force feeding narratives is nothing new. And when they're going this heavy handed, there almost can't help but be backlash.
Ultimately, I thought the feud was fine. They're both obviously really talented. I just hope, after making all that history, everything else they do doesn't feel ho-hum by comparison.
