What do you do for Christmas Eve? In my family we do an anti-Christmas marathon. We get together drink and watch the most unChristmas show we can find. This year we're watching season 10 of Supernatural. We do it as a buffer to get us ready to submerse ourselves in all things Christmas tomorrow.

I always watch The Muppet Christmas Carol and the Tom and Jerry cartoon The Night Before Christmas. Normally whilst drinking snowballs, Baileys and White Russians.

I usually watch a bunch of festive tv favourites and wrap all the gifts. Unfortunately there is a full day of NFL games today so it has scuppered my annual Christmas Eve plans. Quite sad really because the NFL has made today feel like just a regular day.

Ever since i was 13 i would go to my neighbor Junior Daley's where he would run his annual Christmas Eve shot house. I'd go there to play cards, shoot dice, play dominoes, get tore up on good liquor, listen to blues and eat some damn fine BBQ and catfish. It's always packed and he makes good money selling plates and shots of liquor.

My family's Christmas Eve is basically our Christmas in general. We go to my grandmother's and eat, come home and open gifts, and that's it. Christmas Day is absolutely meaningless to me. It's always been treated as just another day.

simple dinner with the folks, maybe watch something on TV (tonight there's football on), and usually in bed before midnight. Santa is an anti-social bastard and won't come in the house unless I'm in bed

Normally, our family goes to church at 5 and then head over to my grandparents house. Unfortunately, my grandparents can't really get around that well in recent years, so we've had them over to our house for the past three years on Christmas Eve. Also started a newer tradition three years ago to watch Die Hard before bed. Really like getting to stay at my house, but I do miss the old days and especially being with my Dad even after nearly nine years.

I f***ing hate Christmas Eve. My girlfriend is a widow, and her ex's birthday was Christmas Eve. So, every year she goes off to his mom and brothers' house and I spend it by myself.

I go shopping with my grandfather and I watch A Charlie Brown Christmas right before bed.

My brother's family come over for dinner & presents. It's the one time of year their son sees Mom; because of her lack of mobility, she doesn't go anywhere anymore.

Either host my mother, her husband, and grandmother for dinner-or just order Chinese.

No matter where I am, midnight on Christmas Eve involves The Pogues' Fairytale of New York and a shot of Jameson.
