Since 2002, it's just been the "WWE Era" for me.
The next era will be the "Post-Vince Era".

Just call it the Shield Era. That's exactly what it is.

"transitional era" as the power in the company is transferring from Vince to Steph/HHH/Shane/whoever.

After Ruthless Aggression there really hasn't been another era.
They tried with the Reality Era, but it was a dumb name as we got enough of that in the Attitude Era..
There really isn't much of a new identity. Things are better on Smackdown, but the company isn't breaking new ground or pushing boundaries.
The Exciting Depending on Which Shows You Want Era doesn't really have much of a ring to it..

It's most definitely the universe era, with the WWE splitting itself into many various realms of parallel activity, in Marvel esque fashion.

The Pan Era. It's why Ryback left. No one would help him order.

After Ruthless Aggression there really hasn't been another era. I disagree. What about the Cena era? He wasn't the guy towards the end of Ruthless agression. Now he's becoming a part timer and really hasn't hogged the main event scene 2013.

Things are better on Smackdown, but the company isn't breaking new ground or pushing boundaries. This is such a jaded position. WWE is probably breaking more ground now then probably most other times in their long history. I mean, the wwe has a whole NETWORK. All the details that make up the network would be crazy if it happened 10 years ago. $10 ppvs? A show filled with cruiser weights? WWE developmental given decent production values and shown as a stand alone product? A UK tournament? I mean these would be the surprises of the year, yet people are acting like the WWE is only coming up with Roman Reigns Promo's

I think there have been several eras or periods or whatever since the Attitude Era.
2002-2005: Ruthless Aggression/Get the F Out Era. 2005-2011: OVW Era (Cena, Orton, Batista are the top guys of the company). 2011-2014: The Reality Era (former indy guys like Punk and Bryan are permanent fixtures in the main event scene, older main eventers start to take on a reduced schedule). 2014-current: The Network Era/Rise of NXT.

The Network Era. It has had a pretty big impact on the way the company is structured, what sorts of people they've been hiring, and the upcoming UK expansion. I'd take that further and call it the Global Expansion Era. Network brand split NXT partnerships with indies the CW division and attempt to rehabilitate womens division the growing presence of a greater diversity in the rosters' geopraphic origins the UK event(s) the China deal a growing presence in Japan Comics, cartoon crossovers, SNL appearances, toy crossovers Renewed presence of celebrities the Brock UFC deal an on-record attempt into acquiring their biggest competitor It's the Expansion era all over again, just on a grander scale and without a viable Hogan in the front seat.
