I didn't see it, because I was busy watching Dallas go 97 Jericho on Detroit (see, cuz they busted out the Lion Tamer. I are clever.), but saw gif on Twitter of her telling an audience chanting for Punk that if they could keep it up for two minutes and fifteen seconds that they'd last one second longer than Punk did.
Was that tonight?
How big a pop did it get on here?
As the young people say-- savage.

Yeah...you know what, for all the shit people give Steph, some of it unwarranted and frankly much of it justified, that put-down was just glorious and frankly 'savage' as mentioned in OP.
I haven't cared much for Punk after he left and ain't even mad that Stephanie 'buried' him in his hometown. Now somebody post that damn MS Paint gif.

The great part was the crowd didn't boo Steph or start chanting louder after she dropped that bomb, they just let out a "Dammit, she's right" groan and shut their mouths.

Dude, I can't stand Stephanie, but....that was a legit good burn, and a good way to shut down a crowd that won't let a guy who's been gone for the best part of 3 years just BE gone.

How about the people who a bought a ticket to a show they knew she would most likely be on and decided to chant the name of a man who has been gone nearly 3 years and already moved on with his life? Shit, I am a Punk fan but move the f*** on people.

First the man got rid of his title as a gift Christmas, and after he catches wind of this little incident, he's going to give up the house we all bought for him, too!

F***ing Savage. You can hate Steph or be a fan of Punk and still appreciate the savagery. That hit she landed was harder than one his punches

What gets me is that Punk has never put the WWE on blast. Even during the reveal podcast with Colt he remained respectful throughout when it came to WWE. He hasnt said anything negative about them, hasn't publicly shit on them on twitter and if he has, hes never done it directly from what i can remember and although what Stephanie said was funny and "savage" they're still in Punks hometown, let the crowd enjoy themselves. Im probably getting worked because Steph is a heel but I have held some animosity after hearing Punks side and them just letting him go.
Coming from his mouth, Punk was a man that wanted to help the company, he wanted to help the talent and wanted to make everyone more money. But Vince put down every little idea he came across and for WWE to be sour, if what Punk says is true, really is petty.
Chicago is Punk-city, its expected to get his chants. Yes, hes been gone for a long time. Its not a slight on the talent or anyone in particular, its the crowd wishing their hero would come back. And to be perfectly honest, a healthy dosage of Punk into this product is severely needed. Not on the Smackdown side but certainly on the Raw brand.

Punk chants were inevitable and it wouldn't surprise me if they had the burn on standby

Seriously tho, there are two sides to that story and then there is the truth. We know one side and have hearsay on the other. Both parties are not saints while on the same token they are not the devilish evil doers as well.
