The man lost his father, he can be upset if he wants to. As far as Goldust signing off on it, I obviously don't know their families business personally, but in an interview not long ago Cody did mention that Dusty and Dustin were estranged for several years. They had obviously reconciled before Dusty passed but I could see Cody feeling a little closer to Dusty than Dustin was and that making him more protective and sensitive.
Also, I get WWE wanting to get heat on The Club but knowing them, this is just gonna end up being a throw away segment with no real follow up and not leading to anything for them, thus making it even more tasteless and pointless.

Honestly if you have to use a death to get heel heat then you are a pretty lousy heel

IMO I think dusty would probably be upset he wasn't put in a angle earlier. Hell dusty was likely cosmically upset the angle didn't lead to a match with a disputed finish involving fireballs.

It's his dad. Regardless what type of business it is, we're all humans and one's profession doesn't change that. He's perfectly within reason to feel how he feels and it's not up to us to judge how he grieves or how he feels about a company he's not a part of using his late father in passing. Let's try to remember we're all people here. Seriously, people coming here telling us the dude shouldn't feel a certain way because he's in a certain business. "Haha, your dad is dead" is still a f***ed up thing to do to a person.

Which is why Im not a fan Me either. People can blame WWE writing but those two have always been lame as f*** midcard goobers with mediocre catchphrases and even worse in ring ability.

It doesn't matter if they asked one of his Son's, they should have asked both. It's disgusting just like when they didn't get permission from Ric and Reid Flair's Mother to use him in a segment.
Stop doing this WWE. It was disgusting with Pillman, with Eddie, with Terry Gordy, with Paul Bearer and with Dusty.

Not that that negates Dustin's feelings, if he's fine with it he's fine with it. It is his dad. But that said, Cody and Dustin are both Dusty's sons and independent people. One's acceptance or unhappiness with the use of it isn't validated or nullified by the other. It's like when people become super venomous when choosing sides between Bret Hart and Martha Hart over Owen's death. Both lost a loved one, one a brother and one a husband. It's not any of our places to dictate how one or the other should feel.

I just wish that the wwe would stop using dead people for heat. Wait until Vince dies and they put him in a casket like V.L. Lenin. I'd be surprised if Vince doesn't have a story line corolating with his death in his will. Like no one gets anything until they do a yearlong story that exploits his death.

No matter how corporate they get, the WWE is still at its still-beating heart a pack of carny folk who smell a quick buck in the blood of others. Even if I don't like it I can see the logic in some cases. For example Orton gets heat, Rey gets cheered, more people want to pay to see their PPV match. Makes sense. However nobody is paying to see The Club (Or even Goldust). Come next year not one fan in attendance is going to think "remember that Dusty segment last year, we must go watch Raw again". Actually the opposite is far more likely.

Actually the opposite is far more likely. But that's the point. You followed up with the fact of the matter. The fact of the matter is it's not done specifically to further a storyline. It's done because they're creatively and morally bankrupt. It's done because Vince shrugs his shoulders indifferently and goes, "Will it help pad out the show? Then f*** 'em."

The main thing I took from that segment is just how f***ing small Karl Anderson is. I mean I know Gallows, and Goldust too, are big dudes but christ. The smallest guy in the skit bullying the much bigger and physically imposing Goldust was laughable to me. But ehh. Me either. People can blame WWE writing but those two have always been lame as f*** midcard goobers with mediocre catchphrases and even worse in ring ability. It's like when people become super venomous when choosing sides between Bret Hart and Martha Hart over Owen's death. Both lost a loved one, one a brother and one a husband. It's not any of our places to dictate how one or the other should feel. Even then, the same problem is less "Cody having some issues with that", if that was the case it'd be one thing. The real problem seems to be more with how much equal things Cody himself uses for Dusty on the indies or in his own gimmicks, and how he uses it far more than Goldust does (with this being one of the first times since Dusty died Goldust used him in anything, and it was mostly in the way of BAYLEY using Dusty to show how much he taught her out of respect, not Goldust doing it.) It'd be one thing if it was him being raw about it, but this just reeked of Cody being just as carny as WWE and saying "No no no, exploiting Dusty is MY gimmick, NOT YOURS! I'm the one who gets to be Dusty's son, I'm the one who gets to be Dusty's legacy, Not Bayley or not any of the NXT alumni and not even Dustin!"
