So for the umpteenth time I'm replaying Spec Ops The Line, and for the umpteenth time I'm utterly awed by it. From an utterly unremarkable mostly PS1 series comes The Line, a complex, substantial, mind bending shooter. A modern day retelling of Heart of Darkness / Apocalypse Now.
The decision to set it in Dubai was genius, showing the most beautiful, expensive man made city torn back down to earth by sand and war created a unique setting I've never encountered before.
I love the risks the game takes, making Americans the enemy, and even placing possibly supernatural elements in the game, if you choose to see them.
Anyone else here a fan of The Line? Besides being a memorable shooter, I also consider it the best Silent Hill game since the original 4.
