Just looking for a bit of help since my Skype seems to be a bit bodged right now. It won't let me log on, all I get is the 'Sorry we couldn't connect to Skype' screen when it pops up. Whenever I click on 'Retry' it just stays on that screen. The weird thing being, I still get the sound for notifications, but not the screen. Thankfully, it still seems to work when I go on my Hotmail account, but I can't get the Skype window itself to work.
Anyone have any suggestions?

The easiest solution is usually to uninstall and reinstall Skype and/or reboot your device. You'd be surprised how often either of those things will fix the issue. If that doesn't work, please advise.

I've been having major issues with Skype lately myself, forced me to merge it with my Microsoft account and since then absolutely refuses to let me on insisting the password is wrong every time I try it. Eventually I just got fed up and made a new account.

I have this problem on the browser app and Microsoft has said it can't fix it. At this point I've dropped Skype for Discord.

Have you tried to run Skype as an administrator?
