How difficult is it to write a Batman script? I mean, all he needs to do is face a villain, protect Gotham, and do cool stuff with his various Bat gadgets and vehicles. That's really it. Thinking like that is how Michael Bay makes movies. It's not as difficult as WB is making it though. More important than gadgets or cars is diving into Bats' relationships with Alfred/Gordon/Dick/etc. We can skip seeing the Waynes killed ever again though.

We're never going to see any of the Robins it feels like, despite being absolutely essential to the mythology.

They easily left $400 million on the table using Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman in the same movie, and evidently are working their asses off to leave as much money as possible on the table with this incarnation of Batman. What makes you think they could do anything worth a damn with Nightwing?

Believe me, no one is more critical of their current state than me. It just pisses me off that they ignore arguably the greatest Batman related thing there is.

Yeah, but knowing Warner right now, they'd make Nightwing brooding, depressed, and completely serious with no joking.

In short they would.do the Red Hood character with the Nightwing name.

Affleck is not contracted to do solo film. He is 100% waiting to see if Justice League fails or not before leaving.
He is my favorite dude inHollywood. Unlike a lotnof people I didn't turn on him either and Inliked Daredevil and Jersey Girl. And I loved him as Batman.
But thing is he was supposed to do the Stand. And then ledt that project for Batman. And honestly if leaving Batman means Affleck brings my favorite King adaptation to life I'm ok with that. Bvs was hated by almost everyone, not me mind you I really enjoy it actually. None of the follow ups have had splendid productions and Now rumors about WW being a bad production and Flash getting a page one re write proves how doomed they are

WB shit the bed by hiring con artists like the Snyders. They put out a godawful movie and tried to pass it off as a "deconstruction". Killed the franchise.
Zack Snyder ruined everything and his sycophant wife helped.

This is WB=DC we're talking about. They'll spend about $300 million on production and marketing because they don't know any other way of making movies feel big than throwing a f***load of money at it, making anything less than $650 million a complete loss. And at that point I have to question whether the fan goodwill will be there or not for them to continue reaching those box office figures.

Some people actually want Snyder to direct this one Some people also enjoy being flogged until their skin peels off. To each their own, but for the majority I imagine sitting through a Snyder-made Batman would be a very similar experience.

They should just go ahead and let Jon Peters make his Superman movie.
Can't be any worse than what WB are serving up.

Thinking like that is how Michael Bay makes movies. It's the essence of a Batman movie. When you mess with the basic concept like the Snyders try to do in some misguided attempt to reinvent the wheel and replace it with a much shittier wheel, you run into problems.

I've said it before
Have the mob bosses of Gotham be pissed that Batman is damaging their businesses so to finally get rid of him they decide to hire Deathstroke to kill the Batman.
Batman movies are not difficult, he has TONS of stories to borrow from
