I thought JBL's defense of 3 hours was valid and would have liked to hear him respond to Rosenberg's criticism that it's too long, but Heyman kept yelling over him and telling him he was wrong.

It's weird too how Heyman was yelling because Rosenberg was saying "As a fan". I mean, that's the only side that matters if you're asking someone who isn't in WWE's or USA Network's financial department. Why wouldn't Rosenberg answer as a fan?

It's an interesting concept but it doesn't really work. It's not a shoot and they don't seem willing to accept any genuine criticism of the product, so what's the point? It's basically just 'we are right, you are wrong - whatcha going do about it? Nothin NERDS'

Yeah unless there's a modern chart that can prove Raw can make more money at two hours by putting up bigger overall ratings by quality programming, there sadly isn't a real counterpoint. The USA Network wanted the 3 hours which they can't say no too and if they are indeed making more money than before, there's nothing you can do except making it 4 hours of course.

The only thing i found interesting was the discussion of Hogan, and even that looked like they didnt want to go too far into the subject (which is odd since booker t went deeper into it on the ep of Legends with JBL he was on).

And especially with JBL saying the contracts are signed through 2019, even if they wanted to switch, they couldn't. I would've really liked to hear his response to what Rosenberg said about fast forwarding through Raw.

That's what got to me about JBL's reasoning; there was no attempt made to address the actual content and why people think Raw is so bad at three hours. When you're talking to your fanbase and trying to justify these decisions, you can't ignore the main issues. Otherwise, why bring it up at all?

I liked JBL, on the other hand Heyman was annoying. JBL was much more open to discussion, and like has been said Heyman was in character. If that's the Heyman we're going to always get, just replace him with someone like Corey Graves or Triple H.

I don't really get the point of this show. It's obviously trying to be WWE's answer to PTI but it misses the mark like most WWE creations. They take criticism about their wrasslin show so personally so it cuts off any meaningful discussion at the knees. edit: Paul Heyman is insufferable on here. edit 2: Rosenberg: "We're(the ICW) addicted to the WWE so-" Heyman: "You're addicted to bitching"

I feel like they have a new talk show every few months. Next, they're going to have JBL sit with Road Dogg and wait for pizza to arrive. They can all it "TALK TALK ANCHOVIES CORNER".

They ripped off ESPN because RAW Talk wasn't raw enough.

"WWE talks down to its fans" seems like a horrible talk show format, and yet it feels so quintessentially WWE.

If I didn't know anybody better I'd think wwe doesn't handle criticism well.

So reading the thread, I guess someone watched that awful Road Dogg interview JBL did and decided to make a whole show of it?

When you're talking to your fanbase and trying to justify these decisions, you can't ignore the main issues. Otherwise, why bring it up at all? The problem, though, was that people see how bad it was for that one- but most of what the "fan side" of the 3 hour Raw bordered on Rosenberg being the strawman there for JBL to knock down the complaints of 3 hours as much as it was "WWE hammering it"...which may or may not add something to the problem. They didn't even give in the realistic argument against a 3 hour Raw of "Yeah, we know that WWE makes more money with 3 hour Raws...and it's possible to do a good 3 hour show. WWE has the roster- heck, six months ago you made it a PLOT POINT that Raw gets 3 picks to SD's 2 because of the 3 hour show to give them a bigger roster. If you want to get more use top to bottom on the roster, and make fewer recaps to feel like the fans are goldfish who won't remember 3 minutes before, there would be no problems with 3 hours. Can they at least do THAT more?

So:
Paul Heyman=Jim Sterling Rosenberg=Chip
Heyman: But what do you think, Phil? Rosenberg: Well I think... Heyman: SHUT UP, PHIL!
