I'm sure the Cowboys are hoping the Packers beat the Giants.

As for my predictions for the weekend, I'll take:
- Houston 20, Oakland 16: This is a battle of two woefully inept and undermanned teams. If Oakland had Derek Carr under center, they might win this game by 20 or more. But without Carr and possibly without backup Matt McGloin, third-string rookie Connor Cook is a lamb being led to slaughter, especially against a Texans defense that is somewhat underrated. But Houston's atrocious offense should be just putrid enough to keep this one close. This game should be the prime example that a close game does not necessarily mean a good game.
- Seattle 24, Detroit 13: Seattle's defense hasn't been the same since Earl Thomas was lost for the season and their offensive line might have problems with Detroit's defensive front seven but the home-field advantage and Russell Wilson should be enough to push the Seahawks over the top. Had this game been played in Detroit, I might have rolled the dice and picked the Lions, but I don't think Matthew Stafford and co. can go into the loudest stadium in the league and win a playoff game.
- Pittsburgh 34, Miami 10: This game should be a runaway. As we learned last week when the Patriots throttled the Dolphins, Miami just isn't ready for prime time yet. That little winning streak they had was a nice story but outside of beating a banged-up Steelers team at home, who did they beat? Dregs of the league like the Bills, Jets, Chargers, Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals. When they came across legitimate teams like Baltimore or New England, they got rocked. And that will happen again on Sunday afternoon.
- Green Bay 27, New York Giants 20: I've gone back and forth on this game all week. Green Bay is riding the hot hand with the best quarterback in the league right now but the Giants are the kind of battle-tested playoff team that can go into Lambeau and win in January, as they've done it twice in the last seven years. I think the equalizer will be Eli Manning, will he be the playoff Eli that we've seen surprise people in 2007 and 2011 or will he be 2016 Eli who can't seem to get out of his own way because he doesn't have any time in the pocket? This should be the best game of the weekend and possibly the entire playoffs.

Only game I have the slightest amount of interest in is Giants/Green Bay. As a Patriots fan I think the AFC matchups are vomit inducing.

Val's moronic picks:
Raiders 'cause Brock sucks a fat turd. Wouldn't shock me if Oakland's D outscores Houston alone. Seattle wins if they score more than 17. I think they will... might... could, at least! Dolphins just don't quite have it, game is close but Steelers win. Giants expose the Packers' shit coaching. Not sure if that means they win or not though. Guess I have to pick the Giants. I wouldn't bet anything on this game.

Here's my "I follow the scores but have no idea about specifics, and am a Giants homer" picks:
Oakland at Houston: an abysmal matchup. Will it be a shootout or defensive battle? Connor Cook does enough (hands off alot) to keep Oakland ahead and the win. Something like 13-10.
Detroit at Seattle: Stafford throws for 3 picks and the 12th man in Seattle gets to Detroit. Seattle wins, 21-14
Miami at Pittsburgh: The trope that is a warm-weather team playing in the cold continues to be true. Pittsburgh wins 28-10
New York Giants at Green Bay: OBJ breaks out in his playoff debut. Eli picks the Packers secondary apart for 3 TD's. Giants win 35-21

Man, worst WC weekend ever? I'd say probably.
DET @ SEA: Seattle is very "not that good" this year. Their line is horrible, their running game is bad, their defense has taken a step back. It's all on Wilson and that passing game. The nice thing for them is that Detroit is even more "not that good." I have Seattle by 9.
OAK @ HOU: I'm surprised that so many people have the Texans. I know that Oakland is down to their 3rd string QB, but Osweiler is a 3rd string quality QB. I think Oakland has the better team. I honestly can't believe a team as bad as the Texans made the playoffs. Oakland by 6.
MIA @ PIT: I don't think Miami has much of a chance here, honestly. Maybe with Tannehill....maybe. Their running game is good and their defense is deceptively good, but how are they gonna stop Pittsburgh? Bell is one of the hardest to stop backs in recent history, Brown is still arguably the best WR in the game, Rogers is solid, their TEs are quietly very reliable, Ben is Ben. And their defense has gotten better as the year went on, and play better with a lead. Pittsburgh by 12.
NYG @ GB: The one really good looking match-up all week, and likely the only one I watch. This game is a true toss-up for me. Rodgers could single-handedly will them to victory, or they could fall apart being a one-man team. The Giants could win thanks to their defense or get throttled like they did a couple weeks ago at Philly. Eli could make his usual 3-4 completely moronic throws that cost them or could be post-season Eli who wrecks shit, OR he could be both because he's f***ing Eli and he's one of the hardest to predict QBs ever. Who friggin knows? I like the Giants team overall more, so I'll go Giants by 1 point.

Sub-Title should be: "Who Goes On To Lose In The 2nd Round?", because this is like a bunch of #1 contender matches between Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio.

Novak with the 50 yard FG, which might be the game winner.
