Why is Nicolas Cage nominated for Snowden? Because it's cool to run with the B.S. belief that Cage is a shitty actor? Snowden as a whole was an awful, boring, slog of a movie. It's not like he brought it down.
And worst picture is Yoga Hosers, I don't care if it's not nominated. A movie like Nine Lives (Why wasn't this nominated?) was really bad, but you can at least laugh at its awfulness. Yoga Hosers is just a void of shit, pain, and sorrow.

Isn't that kind of the point of the Razzies? It's a joke thing. There's been plenty of silly nominations and winners over the years. They were never going to pick some movie most people have never heard of and only made $500 at the box office as Worst Picture. It's basically just a way to look at the major movie studios and say "Guys, you're better than this." Except it hasn't been that way for years, being full of part mean spirited part obvious shots. And no, we don't need a parody award show to say Batman vs. Superman was considered bad by people whe. a Metacritic score and literally hundreds of reviews said as much. Don't need a real award show to say that La La Land was amazing, the reviews say as much. I just don't understand why people are reacting to this like it means anything. Talk about getting worked up over nothing.

As Razzies probably had less pretentious speeches, I'd still give it the nod.

Ben Affleck, Will Smith and Margot Robbie? Seriously? Yeah, those movies in general were shit, but their performances were the saving grace of both movies.

I stopped staking the Razzies seriously when Bucky Larson won no awards. My real moment was when they nominated The Jonas Brothers for Worst Actors. In a concert movie. Where no acting is f***ing required. Not to mention as far as concert films go, that Jonas Brother one was pretty enjoyable. I like the IDEA of the Razzies, in theory. But they have a bad history of piling on certain things to be trendy. With the Twilight films, I sort of understood it because those movies are so bad they're hilarious. But Suicide Squad was ok, just lowbrow. Madea? She's harmless. Ghostbusters 2016? Kate McKinnon's performance alone should disqualify it from all Razzie categories.

Ghostbusters was only nominated for screenplay. Performance doesn't enter into that. Harmless or not I have not heard a single good review for the Madea Movie, and is exactly the type of thing that probably should be nominated for something like this. Didn't see Suicide Squad so I can't comment... but even the people that like it seem to agree that it was a mess of a movie.

Also, for those of you who've seen Yoga Hosers, I've been thinking about reviewing it. How big a world of pain am I in for? Is this a doomsday mission?

There's no way GB16's screenplay was worse than Warcraft's. Warcraft was great though, I know some people went in not knowing what an orc was and they were confused because there was too many characters(like 10-12), but it was awesome, China agrees with me.

Yeah, Warcraft wasn't "OMG TERRIBLE" as much as it "Wasn't amazing" Ghostbusters felt more "unremarkable and unmemorable" rather than "the worst movie"
Yoga Hosers though, the only reason it's not unmemorable is that it's terribleness is ingrained into my memory banks.

Make sure somebody watches it with you so you at least have an on-site support system in place.

WORST SUPPORTING ACTOR Jared Leto – Suicide Squad I'm going to be honest, I don't really care about The Razzies... But SWEET METALLIC AFROPUNK JESUS, I wanted to headbutt my driveway from watching Jared Leto ****ing assault us with whatever the **** he was doing in that movie. And people were complaining about The Joker's look. HIS LOOK?! Man, I came to dig the look. It made sense to me that The Joker was reaching in to his "settling down" phase, became an iced-out gangster and wrapped a dangerous nutbar around his finger. Really though, I never had a problem with how the Joker was supposed to be in Suicide Squad. Jack Nicholson Joker was supposed to be wacky. Heath Ledger Joker was supposed to be a smelly philosopher vagrant. Jared Leto Joker was supposed to be charismatic and sexual as hell. Is it any surprise that Leto took that character and went full edgelord all over the theater (AND the cast)? Who the **** thought Jared Leto was the guy to play this? Who still thinks Jared Leto is a person for people to watch? I don't get mad at much, but man... Leto was corny as shit in Suicide Squad and I'm actually happy we didn't get to see more of that on-screen. He deserves every bit of that Razzie.

Warcraft is a weird movie. I play WoW and the friend I saw it with doesn't. I loved it and was very pleased with it. She was majorly confused and hated it. It's definitely a movie for fans of the games.

Why is Nicolas Cage nominated for Snowden? Because it's cool to run with the B.S. belief that Cage is a shitty actor? Pretty much. It's not the first time that they opted to pile on to someone. They have a bitter hatred for Adam Sandler

There were some interesting ideas and world building, but there was too much going on. It needed to embrace "simpler is better".
