So we all know Superman could beat him, and I'd argue Shazam could do it as well. Honestly Goku just isn't powerful enough to beat some of the more well known "all powerful" superhero's. Silver Sufer, Galactus, they'd wipe the floor with the spiky haired freak. And here's another one, Godzilla. I'd argue Godzilla could beat most superhero's/villians. See, I think he could beat Supes or Shazam. The DC Flying Brick types' power depends on the story. If they are literally infinitely strong so they can lift a book with infinite pages, or eternity itself, then why do they EVER lose a straight fight? I don't count crap like that because if that's true, then Doomsday, who is equal in strength with Supes, should have vaporised any other DC hero he punched. When you look at Goku however, his power never varies like that, he only gets stronger. His punches as a SSG were so powerful that matching someone else, they nearly shook the entire universe apart, and the Blue Kaio Ken party trick he pulled is some 20 times stronger than that.

Except, Superman gets stronger when he is exposed to the Earth's Sun. And he has admitted, that Shazam can match him in power. I'd say Doomsday could beat him to. Honestly, Goku, and the entirety of the DBZ, is incredibly overrated.

There's a fundamental difference in philosophy between the typical American superhero comics and Japanese manga that trying to decide who would win in a fight between similar characters in the different genres is pretty pointless to me.
