Crisps are my weakness, not made easy as there always seem to be some on offer in the office and at home. Superman has Kryptonite, I've got crisps. Crisps are Potato Chips right?

A deceptively simple question... Little Debbie zebra cake? Salt and Vinegar chips? Dammit, I can't decide...

I'm from the UK and that's what we call them here. English is a common language, but Lord knows there's so many variations country to country!

I have a few British Facebook pen pals so sometimes wires get crossed. Like with what you call chips being French fries to us.

If they're kinda chunky, then they're called chips. Kinda how in the US all biscuits are called cookies, when a cookie is a specific type of biscuit in the UK. And we don't really have a word for the American type of biscuits. I guess they're just considered savoury scones.

Nacho cheese Doritos and a can of cheese. I can remember going to my grandpa's in Racine and I got those.
Or Pringles. You ask for one, you mean one can.

It's the same for me, I've got American friends who'll often query the English equivalent of an American word. For example, our version of 'pants' is underwear and not trousers. It's also slang for something not very good i.e. that film was absolute pants!

Personally, I go for SKON but that's just me.

Bounce back and forth tbh. Same with 'garage' and 'vase'.
