He'd do fine in WWE, but he's more valuable to NJPW, so it comes down to what is more important to him at the moment. I think he will be in WWE eventually, but I think he'd probably feel disappointed if he left NJPW without winning the top title.

I don't think a guy in his position should come in until there's a clear window of opportunity in WWE. There's no point in coming in and being just another guy.
On that same token, WWE really needs to start filtering out the guys who have stagnated. They're just taking up space. Like I legitimately don't understand why Bray Wyatt is still a thing.

I want start by saying, I like Kenny Omega. I love his work in DDT and his tag matches with Ibushi we're great.
That being said, there is no way that he can be compared to or be considered to be on the same level as AJ. AJ has been 'The Man' in every promotion he's ever worked for for the past 10-15 years and has put on great match after amazing match consistently. AJ has been been a huge name around the globe and when he came to WWE, there was already a massive world-wide fan base and well deserved fanfare.
I can't say the same for Omega. He's had 1 outstanding match in his career, (2 if you count the blow up doll, because that is awesome) with a guy who consistently has 5* matches. He's really only big in Japan and this match has just opened up people's eyes that he is a talent to be watched.
I would love to see Kenny in the WWE in a couple of years. But not now. Let him build himself to be a bigger name, and he can do that in NJPW.

NJPW. He has unfinished business there. I feel like he can still increase his stock if they put the belt on him, plus he is trying to build a legacy there. This. If he stays in NJPW he has a better shot at being a major player, being protected, and increasing his value so in a couple years he might get more of the Styles treatment if he came over. Not that he'd get the booking AJ has, AJ and Kenny are apples and oranges here, but I think if Omega raised his stock a bit more he'd have a better chance in WWE down the line.

I definitely want Omega to stay in NJPW, but I have to say I am surprised this is so pro-NJPW. To me it seemed like a lot of people wanted to see him jump to WWE, especially in the threads about him in this section.

Let me put it this way.
I don't regularly watch NJPW, but Omega's been one of my favourite indy guys for the past couple of years now.
So since I watch WWE, I want him there.
And I know if WWE had him, they'd utilise him well. There's no point in going through so much effort to get your man when you already have a stacked roster if you didn't have plans for him.
Omega is that talented. He won't be kept down.

Let him build himself to be a bigger name, and he can do that in NJPW. Really not seeing where you get the idea he's had one great match. Omega's 2016 was one of the best in all of pro wrestling, really - defeated Tanahashi in a star-turning match early in the year for the IC belt, had a great ladder match with Elgin later, and his G1 Climax Finals matches against Naito and Goto were two of the best matches of the year bar-none. Yes, all of those guys are fantastic workers, as well, and yes his legacy is not yet as established as AJ's was, but let's not act like Wrestle Kingdom was Kenny's debut or something. For people pooh-poohing the WK match, though, it really goes to show that you shouldn't go into most wrestling matches like that without knowing the story/context behind it, since it's really that aspect that took it to another level, at least in my opinion. Doesn't mean you have to like it, but it's not really one to brush off, either.

Whatever gig that pays the most. Titles are all fine and dandy but cash money means the most in your later years. Styles and Matt Bloom thought the same and left gucci positions in New Japan to head to WWE because the money was too good to pass up. If WWE upped their offer to Kenny, he should take it. Even if his run is a bomb, he has extra cash and WWE on his resume which boost his booking prices. But I see New Japan making an Okada type deal for Omega because they got no other gaijin in their company as over as him. So I don't care who he chooses.

While Kenny Omega is needed more in NJPW, I can't help but wonder if he wants to strike while the iron is hot and make the jump to WWE. Since his match with Okada, he has been the hottest thing in wrestling. He may try to cash in on all of the attention he's receiving and get a huge deal from WWE. Kenny Omega vs AJ Styles could potentially be a marquee match at this years Wrestlemania.

I think he's probably better off staying in NJPW, as far as being consistently at the top of the card, but at this point, I'd almost rather he come to WWE and save the slowly withering husk of Karl Anderson's career.

I hope and pray he stays in NJPW not for any one reason like creativity or anythig like that but it just feels that unlike with anyone else that if he jumps ship now the result from that could be catastrophic to the business because I think alot of people look at the things he has said and are gonna look at his choice that could end up as the catalyst for others in the same mind set.
If he goes to WWE alot of people will be like well if took the deal after all he said no one is gonna believe anyone elsewhere has any loyalty anymore and are all just chasing $$$.
On the other hand if he does remain in NJPW even just for the next 2yrs it can prove that loyalty does mean alot in the long term and his stock may jump even higher because of it.
IMO there is alot more at stake with his choice than simply it just being about where he works.

It may not come across that way, but I am a fan of Kenny and have been for many years. And IMO he is having a break out year full of really good matches and 1 outstanding match. But I read all these comparisons to Styles and they're not in the same league. I can remember Matches AJ has had over the past 10+ years that are of the same quality or better than Kenny/Okada. Same for Samoa Joe, same for Nakamura. If anything, if Kenny were to come to WWE, he SHOULD go through the NXT system because he doesn't have the name recognition that AJ and his performances had coming in to debut in The Rumble.
