Even if this is true, I'm not seeing any contradiction/hypocrisy. There's nothing wrong with a babyface megapush when it involves a performer who the majority of fans are getting behind. The issue with Roman has never been that he's the company's chosen one, period. The issue is, he's been the chosen one whilst the majority of the paying crowds continue to reject him in that role. They want someone else in that spot, someone they legitimately like and want to cheer for as a dominant face. So far, Balor looks to be one of those guys. The fans mostly liked him getting the "look strong" push from day one. That's a huge difference. I'm a fan of the dude myself and hope they strap the rocket to him the moment he's back, as with Bryan's tragically interrupted career, we're overdue for a legit babyface holding the strap for a good long while. We know the NXT crowd likes him. We barely got a taste of what he does in front of a more mainstream crowd. Balor been the new Chosen One once he signed a WWE contract. He didn't start from the bottom. He was already here. People forget that Roman was beloved by fans in different sectors before WWE commenced his ascension to the throne hardcore. Then the rejection came because people like to rage against the Machine when it comes to who they support. Once they become accepted & part of the machine do people start turning. Months of Finn winning straight up will not go down as easy as we think. Backlash was happening online towards him while in NXT. WWE management tossed him back in the Demon paint because without it, he was just a regular dude since they didn't really bother developing him while in developmental. Like Sami Zayn but Irish and drier. Him getting hurt set the reset button. Will the same fans still be hot for him or like Zayn, got to fight to re-earn that love after returning from a career stalling injury? Jury is still out. Basically the dude is more Roman than Roman Reigns in terms of management support from day one and pegged into HHH's mind as a future champion before he even signed the contract. Like kudos to Balor for staying in NXT way past overdue and getting over with NXT, but it's funny how WWE fans really turn on anyone that once they get a whiff of a push being forced down there throats but are okay with Balor with this indie cred. You could almost say the same thing with Owens but I think he was a lot well more known to North American fans than Balor. I'm not counting Joe or Styles on the list because those two were the biggest names left outside of Sting of biggest North American wrestlers that never worked with the WWE under contract. But one thing Balor really has going I think is that he's really popular with kids. Especially with his demon stuff. Like dude is going to sell tons of merch and action figures with kids.

I can't wait until he's back. The Raw main event scene really needs a shot in the arm right now.

Can he get rid of that stupid head gear? I'm not a big fan of his entrance when painted up either. It looks weird. Other than that I'd love to see him win the Rumble.

The head gear and drawn out Muse entrance is corny. People knock on Reigns for not being a CM Punk tier talker but Balor is way worse personality and mic skill wise. If he were to get mic skill lessons and be less nerdy, the guy could be a force to be reckoned with.

He'll be back to resume his super push while folks still complain about Roman Reigns and blissfully ignoring that Balor been made to look way stronger than Roman at his peak. I like both dudes but facts are facts. No one brought up the Roman superpush. Why are you bringing up the Roman superpush? Why sweep dirt into the house? And who told you to put the balm on? I didn't tell you to put the balm on!

As you stated before people just rage against the machine when the "chosen one" is ordained. However, the crowd loves him as he has a great look, with and without the paint plus a entrance that involves the crowd. Outside of having mastery mic skills which he can hold his own what else can you ask for in a babyface ? He is a great choice to give that mega push to and say go get it

But one thing Balor really has going I think is that he's really popular with kids. Especially with his demon stuff. Like dude is going to sell tons of merch and action figures with kids. It's not just the kids that he's drawing hugely with. WWE's hanging its hopes on him to get their mothers, cool aunts, big sisters and babysitters to the live shows and to spike the ratings. There's a lot there to appeal to the other half of the population.

But if the kids stop being fans the parents are most likely not to stay.

I said mothers, aunts, sisters and babysitters, many of whom will keep watching after the little demon's gone to bed.

No one brought up the Roman superpush. Why are you bringing up the Roman superpush? Why sweep dirt into the house? I'm just pointing out before Finn went down with his injury, he pinned Roman clean in his second match on the main roster and won the newly created Universal title all within a month. That is how you make someone look strong. He's going back on his throne once he is cleared. No fighting Jinder Mahal in a toss away segment on Raw. As well he should. He's over enough, unlike Reigns.

Nobody should discuss the drawing possibilities of Finn, dude has all demos covered and can become a massive merch machine

Will admit I didn't see him in NXT, but he was one of the better parts of Raw for me when he was on so I'm looking forward to his return.
