What are they going to do when these old f***s literally can't go anymore, but they haven't made any of their current guys mega stars? It's going to be the New Generation all over again. Yeah, this kind of thing just plain isn't sustainable. Sooner or later Brock's going to decide he doesn't need anymore money, Rock's going to be too busy to fit Mania into his schedule, Goldberg's going to be even more broken down than he already is, and Taker's going to hang it up for good. Then what? Bring back Dolph Ziggler two years after his retirement and act like he's an A-list star while letting him crush whoever the top guys are at that point? It makes a lot of money now, sure, but it's not sustainable and the only attempts WWE's making toward the future are in a firmly, "F*** you, this show is what we want, not what you want," way.

It's the reason why I don't really watch as much anymore. This place just sucks all the enjoyment out of me. Sometimes I wonder why I even come here anymore. Happiest viewing experience I've in a long time was at Hell In A Cell -- the show I was at. Yeah I stop by every now and then, but the insane kneejerks still happen after every event! You call it "Insane Kneejerks", other people call it an opinion. Shit happens in wrestling like that, all the time, everywhere. Everyone has different thoughts on how things go. If you liked it, cool, but you saying "This place sucks, it's always negative" and 2ndDevil saying it sucks the fun out of everything like it's FAN's fault? That's Bullshit. This happens with wrestling fans EVERYWHERE, not just FAN. It's what wrestling is... a Live Viewing Experience can make a show more fun, but even people who go live can leave pissed. It's just how it goes... so stop putting it all on FAN.

I hated it most for the Roman Booking which was terrible and the Womens Match Ending wasn't great. I liked matches in it but not enough to save it, but yeah that possibly being an end game for the belt also doesn't feel great either... Roman booking aside I have a problem with the match as a whole and the Womens match ending was atrocious along with ending a streak you built up on a whimper. The best match was the CW match but that was not enough to save the bad booking decision they made for Mania and beyond I agree but on the Roman side, just earlier in the show we had Big Show hit Three Chokeslams and a KO Punch to keep Rusev down. In some small case you can say it took that much to keep Rusev down but frankly Show just flat buried the dude.
In the other sense, Roman hits One Spear and its over, after being Powerslammed through an announce table mind you. Romans No Selling and One Spear Win Rule are two of my current most hated things in wrestling, and people can say Braun LOOKED GOOD IN DEFEAT but the man shouldn't have lost at this PPV in that fashion, all the momentum they had with him is dead, why? Roman's gotta look strong, and I think this was the straw breaker for even some Roman Fans given the thread...

That doesn't mean I think everyone who has a reaction is wrong, nor does it make me think that this place is terrible. But sometimes it's good to take a step back from the narrative.

No I agree that is some bullshit which falls more into match structure for me than booking. I am a Roman fan and I hate his booking because they are wasting his talent but they did neither guy a favor in the match which is what I am getting at. This should of been an hardcore match where both guys dish out their best shot and Roman wins "just by a hair" like he did today. Braun was not buried and he will get his heat back but it was a stupid finish and a stupid decision they could of avoided if they let both go HAM on each other. However, Mania season is near so that was not happening.

I don't think it was the worst thing ever, there were good matches, The Cruiserweight Match, and the Opener.
Thing is, it doesn't excuse the other shit that happened and people having pretty legitimate gripes about what went down tonight and what it could mean for the future. I know people can overreact to things but in the grand scheme, quite a few things happened tonight that made plenty of people go "Oh man is this really what we're doing?", and for good reason...

See I think this shit bugs me the absolute most. People who are negative here have way less of a tendency as far as I've seen to shit on people who liked something. While people complain negatively about something suddenly the "LOL SALT" Bait Posts come out.
We get it, you enjoyed the show, that's great, others didn't, that's also fine too, it's unnecessary.

Is she wearing Ambrose's leather jacket? Probably, yeah...but to be fair, he's wearing her panties, so it's all good. Somewhere edgestar just had a nervous twitch.

Pretty much yea. Your CM Punks, Rybacks, Cody Rhodes, all these guys who left will get a heros welcome sooner or later. What will not change is the booking of the Shield boys as the top guys

Yea usually I would say you guys are bugging because their tends to be an overreaction but tonight is ughh. The realization of this is the best they could do for Mania gives a deflating feeling of give me a f***ing break you can not be serious

I was there live and they spoiled Jericho showing up by flashing his graphic after the video package.

Since the brand split, I've given seven Smackdown PPV matches at least ****. (Ziggler/Miz twice, Dean/AJ twice, AJ/Dean/Cena, AJ/Cena and the Elimination Chamber)
Raw has none.

I posted my facts. But here are my thoughts on Fastlane. The first hour was solid. Zayn/Joe was good & the tag title match was OK, except for Enzo & Cass' stupid promo that I'm getting tired of. I guess the high school that Cass & I went to didn't teach him how to do promos. Then the show went downhill with Sasha/Nia, Cesaro/Mahal, & Big Show/Rusev. It then picked up with the CW Title Match, which was awesome, but Gallagher needs to stop doing those headbutts. Then, The New Day crap brought it down. Reigns/Strowman had a good brawl, but stupid finish. Roman could've lost. Bayley/Charlotte was good until the stupid finish. As much as I don't mind Bayley as Champion, Charlotte needed to win, or at least do a DQ. Then, the main event, do not get me started on it. Everyone knows my feeling about Goldberg and this makes me hate him even more. I know why they are doing it. Vince wants the money and thinks people will spend their money to watch Goldberg/Lesnar in the main event of Mania. They don't need a title. It's a slap in the face to Kevin Owens & everyone else, who busted their ass all year just for part-timers to main event the biggest show of the year. That's BS. It's not going to cause me to cancel the Network like a lot of people are doing because I still got my money's worth with NXT & 205 Live and the PPVs are just a bonus, but it's wrong. Hopefully the other 10 hours of Mania will be worth it, even though the last 2 minutes will suck.

WWE Title Match has to go on last. 1) It's the more established title, dating back to the company's founding. 2) Universal Title Match will be a ~2 minute squash, no matter who wins. 3) If the end goal is for Lesnar to get his win back, it's breaking the cardinal rule of never ending Mania on a sour note with a heel win.

This was one of the worst booked shows I've seen in a long long time.
I have a shit ton of salt to throw around myself. But I'm saving it for if we ever actually get some snow here.
Reigns didn't need the win. Goldberg doesn't need the belt for the feud. Tired of titles being the afterthought/prop for the feud and not THE reason people are fighting. Owens/Jericho needed the title way more. Chris has been gifting it to him for months, it was time for him to get revenge by taking it for himself. The Lesnar/Goldberg angle was already written, Brock's finally going to get his revenge. Didn't need the championship involved. Jericho/Owens really needed the title more since the entire friendship was based around it. Chris Jericho deserves a face run with the title where he's MASSIVELY over by reinventing himself.....again. again. again. Ending Charlotte's PPV streak A MONTH AWAY from WM was just f***ing stupid. Even if you hated it, it's a stupid business decision. Bayley should have won it at Mania ending the streak there. Sasha should have at least turned heel afterwards. Over the New Day. Fast forwarded. Don't even know what happened in the tag title match. I went from really liking Enzo/Cass in NXT to loathing them and fast forwarding past everything they do.
This was just a horrible horrible PPV. Some people liked it, awesome. I'm genuinely glad this appeals to some people. But for me I saw the outcomes a mile away and just hoped they wouldn't go down those roads. They did and they will.
I won't stop watching, but I'll keep wishing for Vince to f***ing retire so his narrow minded stranglehold on wrestling logic and booking can be alleviated and it has a chance to get a pulse again.
