Have you ever seen a guy with less motivation in your entire life? Guy gave less shits than Batista in the last 5-months of his career, and instead of becoming great because of how little he cared, he became worse.
Bruce Willis in Die Hard 5 is ashamed with how badly Booker phoned it in in that time period.

The only good thing he did in TNA was the RESPEEEECK thing. Other than that, he was the epitome of ex-WWE stars coming in and taking everything and giving back nothing.

It did seem like a very selfish run. Especially when they created a title just for him and it somehow still has ties to the company.

He basically destroyed Samoa Joe's title reign with their title matches.

Everybody who worked there came out and said that he was a pain in the ass to work with Just curious, any stories behind that? Jim Cornette said that Booker was lazy and that the legends belt was created to appease him. In his rf shoot, AJ said that Booker looked down on the talent and wasn't open to ideas. Bad Influence I think implied that the guy was lazy.

I recall going to a TNA house show in March 2009 where Booker faced Rhino and it was a pretty crappy match. At one point when Booker had a chinlock applied I turned to my friend and said "Booker T is just cashing the paycheck tonight." His response? "That's all he ever does."
That said, Chet Lemon and Black Snow were a tremendous joke announce team.

Him doing a heel beatdown while doing commentary on the house mic is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Buried the shit out of the babyfaces but it entertained me.

OK, I found another few and far between bright spot of Booker's TNA run. THE SCISSORS KICK IN A SUIT.

I've heard him described as the most selfish man in the company, no surprise there.
For a pretty big chunk of time, there was a lot of phoning it in done by members of MEM not named Angle or Steiner. It quickly got very annoying.

It was definitely a "I guess I'll just wallow here until WWE wants me back" kind of run.

I love Booker T but damn did he slum his TNA stint. When I talk about TNA hiring guys who was more about putting themselves over than trying to help the company, Booker is one of the main offenders. He stop giving a f*** about his wrestling and did things for his amusement. Yet TNA kept rewarding him because he was a big star in WCW and WWE.
