Orton vs. Wyatt is a solid match for the card but the best matchup I think would be a Wrestlemania 2000-style Four Way Elimination match with Orton, Wyatt, Cena, and Styles. That would steal the show.
Shane can fight the Miz to defend Bryan's honor or something like that and Nikki can be in the women's title match.

Bray Wyatt Vs. Randy Orton is your Wrestlemania 33 main event. Doubtful. Probably 4th or 5th down the card. It's also been a well-built, long-form storyline with 7 more weeks of build. Its legit been 6 months of build.

Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton could have a year to build their storyline to WrestleMania and it won't change the fact that the last time they were in the ring against one another on pay-per-view, they put the arena to sleep.
If they put on a repeat of their match from No Mercy, no matter how much build has been put into the match, it won't matter and worst of all, it'll totally be forgotten by the time WrestleMania 34 rolls around, and "forgettable" should never be the case for a WrestleMania world championship match.

I legitimately forgot they wrestled at No Mercy, I was thinking to myself earlier today "Would this be the first WM world title match to be a cancelled match from a September PPV?". If it happens as is, it'll join Triple H vs. Orton and Lesnar vs. Undertaker as No Mercy main events that went on to be Wrestlemania matches.

I have a ticket right next to the entrance and I can't go now I tried listing it on stubhub but because its @ will call OR someone would have to use my ticket master account on the mobile app, they canceled my listing and fined me. Any idea how I can resell my ticket with the above criteria? I just don't want it to go to waste, it's such a f***ing good seat

Oh shit.. it's going to be AJ vs Shane isn't it?
AJ is going to start feuding with the GMs when he doesn't get get his title match.. leading to that match.
Hope I'm wrong.

Wait...Big Show v Shaq is confirmed? What did I miss? It's been confirmed since May or so, and there's been some hype on social media ever since. It's just a matter of the TV build starting.

It's also Big Show's retirement match, if I recall.

Not a single fan thought to themselves after No Mercy last year "Boy, that main event was SO good, it has headline Wrestlemania!"

The New Day are this year's WrestleMania hosts. That sucks that they *presumably* don't get a match but...I guess at least they're featured?

That's cool for them. Honestly, I'm struggling to think of a match for them that wouldn't be a tag team clusterf*** so it's good they found another way to get them on the card.

The thing that worries me is the fact that this show will likely be 6-ish hours altogether. The New Day shtick is fine in small doses, but if we get hours worth, it could get rough.
