This is soooo freaking good. It honest reminds me of seeing old school ECW for the first time. Seeing something completely different from what I'm used to.

I'm on episode 6 and I'm dying at Johnny Mundo finally coming out to save Puma after Puma had already been getting his ass kicked for like ten minutes. Also the ring announcer is sooooo bad. What, why? I think she's incredible and give so much life to that role. I'm pretty sure he means "bad" as in "hot." Cuz yes, she is bad as f***.

Just started watching... Matt Stryker - strike one Vampiro - strike two Chavo in the first match - strike three I'm out. Gurl, you petty af. Episode 1 rubbed me the wrong way till the very end. I was hooked from 2 onwards. Not telling you what to do, but yeah, this show is rad.

Yeah, I was poking fun at all the Iron Fist posters saying they couldn't get through the first episode. I should have been more clear with that. I've watched every episode on El Rey.

So, I've heard in season 3 Bestia 666 shows up. How is he, and when can I expect him?

I've liked Catrina in season 2 and 3 but watching her now in season 1 I'm absolutely in love.

Observations (currently on episode 10):
- new guy Angelico is crazy good-looking
- Dario Cueto is indeed as great as I've read. Super charismatic
- Fenix and Puma might be the most spectacular guys, holy shit
- enjoy the colorful looks/gimmicks of the workers
- Ivelisse is exactly my type of woman lookswise, it's insane
- not a fan of the Chavo/Demon/SS saga
- why is Vampiro acting/sounding like a Mexican? lmao
- Cuerno is my fave so far because he has a distinctive gimmick and has all these little mannerisms and character traits down during matches (besides being a smooth worker)
- Super Fly is the worst

Finished 6 episodes so far. -Probably my favorites are Pentagon Jr, Drago, and Mil Muertes. -Big Ryck is excellent in his role. This show is almost designed to play to his strengths. He looks menacing, is pretty decent on the mic for his part, and his offense looks good in their quick cut style. Makes me wonder what other guys who washed out in WWE could find a new life in something with this format. -I like Fenix, but wish it wasn't so obvious that people have to heavily cooperate with some of his offense, mainly the cutter he does after doing that handspring into the ropes. Why is his opponent just leaping into it like that? Otherwise, I think I like him a smidge more than Prince Puma. -The stuff they smeared on the mat to make it look old rubs off like crazy onto people in the first few episodes, but it has either dried, or they do it differently after a while, since I've noticed it smudging on people much less now. -Dario is excellent in his role and a lot of fun to imitate, like me telling Void that he would hire a popular Mukbang lady to bring her to the Temple. "This Korean girl, SHE WORKS FOR MEEEE" -Maybe she gets worse later or something, since I'm honestly not really having any issues with the ring announcer. Maybe I am too seasoned at enduring Lillian Garcia and Christy Hemme's awful announcing. -Matt Striker excels here, but I sometimes have difficulty knowing if I should take stuff he says literally or if he's being Matt Striker, like when he said something about Sexy Star deriving power from the Serpentarius constellation. Lastly, -Saying the ref can DQ or count out "at their discretion" does soooooo much to explain inconsistent rule application. I like that quite a bit. Other companies really should steal that excuse.

I've watched six episodes with the sound off. Should I watch the next episodes like a regular person?

I'm kind of making things up as I watch. I'm also recalling recaps I've listened to. BTW Konan's mad that he can't have beer anymore.

Huge warning for flashing/flickering lights during a Pentagon-centric vignette at the beginning of week 3 of Ultima Lucha Dos! I'd honestly forgotten they'd done that 'til now, or I would've said something sooner.
EDIT: Also flashing lights at the end, though unlike the above it's not just done for effect.

Man, we hear a whole lot about who Vampiro and Matt find hot.
A complaint I have: Sometimes, things feel rather rushed. We are told "Pentagon Jr hasn't been seen since Chavo blasted him with the chair", when he was gone for all of like a week, he missed a single show. Bael debuts and attacks Johnny Mundo during the ladder match, joining up with Castro and Mr. Sisqo. We are literally not even told his name before the next show where they just casually treat him like one of the guys. I get that he's basically cannon fodder that is just part of a group, but it's still not terribly great. Also, boy do I hope Cage isn't going to end up with organ failure, what the f*** has he done to his body?

Cage is my least favorite part of LU in general. I think it's the catchphrase spam that does it for me.
