Not saying it's the interviewer's fault, but didn't Slick fall asleep in the middle of a shoot? Possibly, Kevin Sullivan did once, I forget if he was with both Raven and Honky Tonk Man, or just Raven, but he just very visibly nods off at one point.

Feinstein is just a terrible interviewer all around. He sounds like he's just sitting behind the camera with a list of questions and almost never tries to engage the person he's interviewing. They could offer an interesting anecdote and he'll just be like "oh cool, next question". LOL he'll pretend he was listening. In a way, that's how matches themselves are presented to us today. Follow the layout, don't improvise, fans don't react - stick to it anyway. It's only a given the interview would be straight by the numbers as well.

The interviewer in the Jerry Jarrett shoot was worse than Feinstein if that's possible. The guy looked like if he didn't knew who Jarrett was and had to prepare about an hour before. I listened to 5 minutes of that one, then switched to something else. Jarrett himself sounded like he didn't want to be there. Lol I think Feinstein fired the guy after that interview.

The thing with Feinstein is he never corrects guys when they're wrong, either because he's too scared or too dumb.
It will be something like:
"Lex what were your thoughts working with Hogan in 1997?"
"I didn't work with Hogan in 1997. I worked with Brusier Brody.
"Brody was in WCW?"
"I thought he was"
"Oh maybe....what are your thoughts on Eric Bischoff?"

Raven and Scott Hall were talking about booking and stuff, Kevin is frickin' sawing logs right next to them. As Sullivan wakes up, Raven said something like, "We'll have to do another DVD, maybe next time Kevin will be a little more lively."

As a guy who watches 2 shoots a week most weeks, RF Video is the bane of my existence for most of the reasons already stated.
Before copyrights were enforced, I liked how RF Video would splice matches and angles into the shoots as the guys spoke of them.

At least it could be somewhat amusing when RF interviewed a cranky old timer. For example:
Ole Anderson: "Look, take two seconds and stop being so damn dumb behind the camera."

There is that one Sandman shoot where he has his 9 year old son with him and that kid is correcting the interviewers false facts. Can't remember for sure, but I'm fairly certain it is RF production.
Then there's that one guy, who was doing these few years ago and he was even worse than Feinstein. Poor quality and a god awful way of setting up the questions. Think the series was called something like plain kayfabin' or something like that. Just pure rubbish.

I don't really watch that many shoots (because a number of them seemed to have dire audio), but there's a few with this one guy hosting which seem cool. He does the Timeline of WWE videos. I quite like those.

Not sure if it would be considered unprofessional, but you'll have a hard time finding a Raven shoot interview with RF Video where there isn't a food delivery scene about midway through. To be fair, Raven normally spends half his time asking about food/water/whatever, but when someone calls or knocks on the door with a delivery, you think they could hit pause or edit the footage out.
On a similar note, RF Video has many "we'll edit that out" comments throughout, which obviously they never bother to.
I haven't bought from RF Video since Kayfabe Commentaries started selling DVD's.

Yes. Very unprofessional. You're producing a DVD and selling it to people for between 15-25 dollars. At the very least those people deserve an uninterrupted interview and some basic editing. Was listening to RF do an interview with The Young Bucks earlier today and they'd be nearing the end of a story or about to go into something else that might be considered entertaining and he'd just interrupt with something like "Thoughts on..." in which the Bucks would just respond with "Great worker and a really good guy. Talk to him every day." Of course at one stage the Bucks stopped talking having answered RF's question, looked blankly at RF for 5 seconds before RF stuttered with a "O...Oh I'm sorry. I was just checking my..." before being cut off with "No problem" by The Young Bucks. Confident that RF was on his phone texting mid interview.

The only shoot that actually annoyed me was the RF one with Shane Douglas and Francine that was recorded with them in a pool. The sound was so unbelievably low that even if you held your ear up to the speaker with your volume maxed out you still couldn't hear them. I later found out that every copy was like that and I was annoyed even more that he had the nerve to release it anyway. KC's You shoot with Douglas actually spoofs that entire interview, with Oliver trying to shoot by a pool and Douglas refusing.

Kayfabe Commentaries are really the only ones who make proper presentation a priority. Isn't there one of the 'shoot' shoots, when Oliver sits down with Cornette, Raven, X-Pac, or New Jack, and he basically tells the truth about how he feels about these guys, and Oliver looks like he's drunk or high? I remember seeing the trailer a couple of years ago, which I can't find on KC's YouTube page, and thinking that Oliver looked really messed up.

With the proliferation of wrestler podcasts I think Kayfabe Commentaries is the only line of shoots with production values worth paying for.

I bet it had good lighting, multiple cameras, and he even asked a follow up question!

While I have enjoyed the depths to which wrestlers have spoken on the Hannibal TV ones (I think they are conducted by Devin Nicholson?), he is a downright atrocious interviewer whose shoots often have no flow whatsoever. A typical eample:
Hannibal: "Mr. Hansen, what is your favorite part about your time in Japan?"
Stan Hansen: "I loved teaming with Brody, he was great. I have many stories on him. A shame how he died..."
H: "...and what are your thoughts on Baba?"
Instead of letting the subject guide the interview, he kills the flow and ruins it.
I listened to a few but I quickly tapped out.
