After that Big Show match coupled with the Henry match last week, I have lost all confidence in Strowman. And he's supposed to be a credible threat to beat Reigns after those? Nope. Im sorry what? He kicked out of Shows Chokeslam, and KO Punch, and even despite the match he knocked the piss out of Roman when that little piece of shit decided he wanted to pick a fight with someone who just went through a hellacious match.
I know you're a Roman fanboy and all, but this is a bullshit post.
Big Show still was competitive against someone who is SUPPOSED to be a destroyer. Big Show. In 2017. That's the kind of match Strowman should be winning in SECONDS, not struggling to win for several minutes.

He's losing to Roman at Fastlane so let's get that out the way.
He has indeed become an animal tho. They are booking to his strengths and making him look like a monster. This feud with Roman is a good indicator to see where he will fit soon. If Raw does a King of the Ring I could see him as the favorite

I think I'm still the only wrestling fan on the planet who just doesn't like or get this guy. I'm not even trying to be a dick/run a stupid gimmick, I just don't get the love for the guy. Obviously it's something I'm missing/something wrong with me. I look forward to the 2-3 weeks it will take before I'm not the only idiot who feels this way. Eh, that's fine. Like, no one's universally loved. For the longest time, Charlotte bored the shit out of me, only recently have I gotten into her matches much. I like Roman's offensive moves more than any of Dean's or most of Seth's. HBK is one of my least favorite main eventers. We all have stuff that we just don't get on board with.

I know we like to joke on Big Show but there has not been a time in 10 years where that man has been presented as anything less than a threat. He can cry or wear diapers but he still is presented as a threat.

This is also a Big Show that has lost a ton of weight and is still Big Show, a multiple time world champion and a veteran of the sport. Strowman was finally tested with someone his own size, and kicked out of the KO Punch and the Chokeslam. Took everything Show could dish out and won. To me that was a better way to put Braun over than a plain Squash. We've seen enough of those. Them having a great match together is a surprise and only served to make Braun better by the end.
You throwing a fit over it is baffling to me. Especially considering he still BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF ROMAN after the fact since Roman wanted to get all big balled and pick the bones. Maybe that's why you're really upset though, since your boy got stuffed for being a f***ing idiot But there was nothing wrong with how that match went man, sorry if you feel that way.

Yeah, he can goof off one segment, then punch Undertaker in the back of the head and lay him out, and the audience buys both of them entirely.

I agree with you about the match, but calling it a fit and the last bit is a bit much, let's dial it back, guys.

Even Roman has been getting decimated by him on a weekly basis, and every time Reigns has knocked him down he's no sold it. So why have him looking like he's in grave danger from someone who we have frequently labeled a Local Man? I'm sorry but I fail to see how it makes any sense whatsoever. And even if Reigns wins at Fastlane, which there is no certainty that he will (*GONG*), I would like to hope that Strowman has as much a future as Reigns does. But after the last two weeks? I really don't see it.

If you don't like him, that's fine, but it's not hard to get WHY people like him. He's a big dude, can cut a promo, is freakishly athletic for his size, and from what he started as and what he is now, it's an amazing jump in quality that people really respect. It's work ethic and the want and drive to be a wrestler especially someone who had no wrestling background, that Braun has shown time and again to this point, that gets peoples love and respect towards him.

I really don't see it. I don't think he was ever really presented as in danger, he controlled most of the match up. Matches like these are meant to draw comparisons between the past guy and the current one, with the conclusion being that the new guy is either superior or has the potential. It's like if they ever had someone like Gable vs Angle, they would not have it be a squash one way or the other, because they would want us to see parallels. Otherwise, why even use giants at all? That's what they're there for.

Dude why are you overlooking how much Big Show is a Seven Foot Monster who is in the best shape he has been in, in years, and how good it looks for Strowman to kick out of moves that have laid out guys like Roman and JOHN CENA easily in the Chokeslam and more importantly KO Punch? Strowman also controlled almost the entire match aside from the finishers which were designed for Strowman to kickout of to LOOK GOOD.
It was a matchup of giants that people weren't expecting much from, and this is probably Shows last year and he gave everything he had in that match to put Strowman over, so for you to say "Ah that's in, Strowman has no future, it's over guys" when that may have been the best match Strowman has had singles wise... it just comes off like you missed the entire point.

Strowman did what no one has done before. Not Hogan, not Austin, not Rock, not Taker, not Kane, not Roman not anyone has ever done, that is take Show's best and no sell it all. Strowman is more set up to be the future than Roman after tonight for God's sake.

It's like, did you turn off the TV after Strowman won and ignore the fact Roman came out to pick a carcass and got his shit pushed in? Who cares if Show got offense in? Strowman kicked out of all of it, and won, and STILL laid Roman out!! He walked out under his own power after all of it. I don't know how ANYONE can think that is the sign of an unsure future... seriously.

I like Strowman, I really do, but the way that match went was not good at all. Strowman was in control for like 85% of this match. The only times he wasn't was The Chokeslam, KO Punch, and Suplex. And again, STROWMAN KICKED OUT OF THOSE MOVES. Something designed to get him over, and post match he still laid Roman out, so it clearly didn't even effect him, something that laid out normal guys and kept them down, Strowman shrugged off.
I'm done trying to explain how wrong you are about this. But seriously man, you watched this match entirely the wrong way to say the stuff you did in this thread. Strowman is gonna be just fine. He's gonna be better than fine after that.

Is there no such thing as middle ground anymore? I have no qualms about if you don't like Strowman or are meh on the guy, that wasn't the issue that this thread caused, the issue was someone saying Strowman's career was derailed from that Big Show match because it was competitive, and to me that's just absurd.

Is there no such thing as middle ground anymore? I thought that was what we got, wrestling done right. We're saying the extremes makes no sense.
