When did they get rid of the Blake character Which time? They phased the original version out somewhere in the late 80s, if memory serves, with Thor staying in true form full-time. Every once in a while, a new Blake shows up that is apparently the "real" one, but is usually revealed to be a fake (I know Mephisto was behind one in the early 90s. Another showed up after the Fear Itself event, but I haven't looked into what happened with that one.

The other Hammer Wielders were not referred to as Thor. Red Norvell and Dargo Ktor were. Also, keep in mind that when Marvel first debuted the character, Donald Blake called himself Thor after finding the hammer, having no idea he actually *was* Thor yet - that wouldn't come until later. Even in Thor form, he thought he was just an empowered Blake. Lies and Slander... >_> I forgot about Dargo and Norvell... but it's always kinda felt weird to me since again it's not a Superhero mantle... it's his legitmate name. It didn't stop me from liking the Thor books with Jane or anything but still.

That Black Widow costume isn't that bad. Yeah, it doesn't make much sense for a super-spy, but it seems like pretty standard fare for a super heroine in the 1960's. It's not really that different than the "iconic" costumes of Zatanna or Black Canary. She only had that version VERY briefly, the original and one that she appeared more in like that had a less ridiculous hairstyle. They occasionally do flashbacks and use that outfit with the wig she usually had. It's not really similar at all to Zatanna's Magican Gear... or even really black Canary's corset costume (mostly due to the excessive bits of crosshatching over it that was not depicted as fishnet in the books) If anything it is however similar to the Black Canary outfit that was so bad they openly had the character burn it on the cover of one of her books. (with a dash of huntress)

it had been a bit since I saw it... maybe I'm confusing it with some other persons costume...

For the record, I preferred that costume, especially the John Byrne interpretation with short hair. Felt more like a superhero costume than her more famous outfit.

I think that Black Widow costume looks fine, but doesn't really fit her at all. Though really Black Widow in general is kind of a huge pile of, "I don't really care," to me anyway.
