113 reviews and still at 100%. Not trying to bring the topic into conversation, but is somebody afraid to give it a Rotten just out of fear that their might be a legit backlash. Or... or! It's a really good movie. Just spit balling here. Yeah, movie critics get shit all the time for not liking popular movies and the like... I doubt they give a shit if people online would start bitching at them.

I was kind of wanting to see it, the overwhelming positive reception and the Midnight Screening for it have made me especially want to. Might try and do that in a week or so.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I don't care for horror films, but on the other, I love Jordan Peele (and Allison Williams is super hot).
I might have to see this.

Saw it yesterday, it's pretty awesome. Great performances, I loved how layered the story was, and a bunch of funny moments.

This is why I always end up checking out movies...whether it be in the theatre or on Netflix. Because the trailers for this movie make it look absolutely ridiculous. However, people are loving it. So...one of those two things has to be correct and I'm legitimately curious as to which it is. Therefore, maybe I'll go see it next weekend. Maybe.

Armond White is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. He seemingly can just not talk down to people. I like to think the man will walk into a McDonalds and 4 in the morning and order a McGriddle while telling the cashier how terrible it is and how lucky she is to talk to him.

It is because I thought RT banished him 5 years ago. Yup he was brought back in last summer. He is a troll though but dude is a pretty damn good writer and does write great reviews when he isn't a being troll. But he does have an amazing ability have something minorly good in a movie or something minorly bad about a movie and blow it up in exaggerated proportions of why it's the greatest or worst thing ever. His reviews are a guilty pleasure of mine

Saw it yesterday. I liked that even though it was very funny at times, it never lost the eerie feeling that the movie was trying to portray.
Between this and some of the more surreal sketches on Key and Peele, it's pretty obvious that Jordan Peele is in the same group of comedians who's comedy comes from a pretty dark place.

Enjoyed it. Intense. Did think it wrapped up a little too neatly, but not a big deal.

Bleak endings to horror movies have become a cliche in their own right. Which I'm sure they were a response to the "survivor girl" endings that tied everything up in a neat little package. Also endings that don't give you a sense of closure are a bit of a throwback to seventies horror movies (like "Stepford Wives"). But I think they made the right choice after watching the movie yesterday because {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}You have this moment when you everyone else is dead and Rose is pretty much good as dead when you see sirens and you see how bad this looks that this white family and their servants are murdered and their house is torched and the only survivor is a bloodied black man. So we see how bad this looks out of context. Even more so when you consider the tense conversation with the cop on their drive up to the parents' house. So when the patrol cars' door opens and says "airport" implying it's Chris' TSA agent friend Rod, it got this huge pop from everyone in the theater. One of my favorite movie going moments.
