Not go to any big promotion? Huh ROH, NOAH, and Evolve aren't big enough? Ok maybe I have been setting the wrong vibe here. First of all no, those promotions are not that big. I obviously am happy that he can earn money (if he even makes more at NXT) , but NXT is LOADED with older wrestlers right now. Atleast guys like Roode, Young and so on have been known on the second biggest wrestling company in the western world and even those guys are not supposed to be there. Also he really doesnt look like a star, AT ALL. This guy is probably the first guy that has been big on the indies where I have to say "I dont see it". Of course all of you are still allowed to like him though, but giving him a new theme and booking him more and more just made me question the choice. ROH is clearly the second biggest company in this side of the country since TNA lost Spike TV. TNA as been a laughing stock of a company for years. ROH is at less respected. There was a reason why Roode, Young, AJ, Joe, and ext most of them left because they where under paid and unhappy. You can tell just by looking at how they worked a match. Joe in his last years in TNA vs. NXT Joe is a big difference. Yes he does not "look" like a star but the guy wrestles like one. I think you look at TNA for to high because they fallin a great deal in the last five years. Hero for the last few years had countless of great matches and is a good talker and that really why he got resigned.

But if ROH isn't a enough of a "big company" that him being booked in it is somehow a qualification in and of itself to be given another look over, then the only place Hero could go for credibility is into another dimension, because since Hero left NXT he's hit pretty much every super-indy promotion there is, and getting a lot of buzz for his work, all appearance matters aside. I mean, same token of you being totally free to keep on not being that into him, but this is one of those cases where you're confusing your perception with his qualifications. His 2016 was one of the hottest on the indy scene and the buzz that generated helped bring him back into the fold, pretty easy to see the decisions in play.

Being that he probably only has a few years left as an active wrestler, I could see him settling in as a trainer for developmental once his run is over. There is no way that can be construed as anything but a positive if it happens. I can name a dozen current WWE performers who could use a bit of what Hero brings to the table. I hope he makes a mint there - he's earned it.

Ok did not know that he had a great 2016 , so I was wrong. I still have to say though, he looks more average then Daniel Bryan in 2010

I'd love to see him "mentor" Cesaro when he gets called up to the main roster. Point out how they used to wreck shit together and light a fire under him.

Love the Theme Still think he needs better ring gear... He needs to just wrestle in his trunks. There's no shame in being a fat wrestler when you can have barn burner matches. Dusty Rhodes, Stan Hansen, Bam Bam Bigelow, Big Van Vader, Cactus Jack, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, all "fat", for lack of a better term. And yet, they've all got a catalogue of kickass matches to their names. People can call Ohno fat all they want, but I'd watch a fat Kassius Ohno over a ripped Alberto Del Rio any day.

I have to agree with the quoted post tbh- I love Ohno but for me, he needs the lean look if he wants to keep his trunks, whereas at his current weight I think he needs something different. Of the guys you listed only Stan Hansen really wore the small trunks. An Owens/Cactus style top & pants, or Vader/Bigelow style singlet, would do Ohno the absolute world of good image wise. Different people need different things for different body shapes, and for me, Ohno when he's heavier doesn't suit the small trunks. Just a personal thing, because I love the guy and want him to do really well in WWE, but I think for that he does need to adjust his attiire.

The rumor is that Ohno attended a local eatery and consumed a very large quantity of cuisine. This unfortunately resulted in the establishment going defunct.

It's like "Hero should wear better gear" and the default response is always "Here's a list of fat guys who can go in the ring!" One has NOTHING to do with the other. Even of the guys mentioned 4/7 never wore trunks, 2 that did were solid guys and not sloppy fat and Dusty Rhodes was friggin' Dusty Rhodes. What was the topic? Oh yeah...generically bad rap song.
