If anything Super Paper Mario's reputation has improved after the very mixed reception to Sticker Star and Color Splash.

Super Mario Sunshine. I finally got the game and loved it. It was a different type of Mario game

Dynasty Warriors. Same game every time? It's more different than COD every year. Dynasty Warriors is the best. #TeamCaoPi Though Dynasty Warriors 9 is apparently going to be open world. That throws a strange wrench in the "same game every time" thing.

Perfect Dark, Sonic Adventure, and Super Paper Mario. None of those are hated At worst Sonic Adventure gets "It's not aged well, but still decent" No, at worse it gets "Sonic does not work in 3d", "Sonic's shitty friends", or "just as bad as 06" depending on who you ask.

I can understand that fan reception these days though. I never played it until I got ithe Sonic Mega Collection on Steam (All my consoles have been Playstation) so I never had nostalgia for it, then I played it and realised it and the sequel are basically Sonic 06 except with less game breaking glitches

Fallout 3 I guess. It's pretty mainstream popular, but Jesus, don't tell fans of the series you like it.

Bioshock Infinite was OK I guess, bit mean-spirited for my taste. There were set pieces in one of the trailers that didn't make it into the main game. I hate escort missions so Bioshock 2 wasn't really to my taste. Good game but not for me.
I am not a fan of Fishing with Big the Cat at all.

Some people just don't know when to let it go, unfortunately. BTW, this for me is The Last Story. Perfect? No. Fully realized? No. Could've been better in another console? Absolutely. Is it incredibly fun and deserve way more flack than it gets? YES!

Grand Theft Auto IV. It seems to be everybody's least favourite GTA but is my favourite game of all time.

I used to play quite a lot of Bart's Nightmare for the Super Nintendo as a kid, though even then I realized it wasn't exactly on the level of games like Super Mario World.

I'm probably the one person in the world that actually liked Duke Nukem Forever...
Also, the Legends of Wrestling games.

I'm genuinely surprised that 90% of these games are considered to be hated.

Altered Beast on the Sega Mega Drive It's only in the past 5 years that I've learnt about the hatred for it. I watch a lot of video game reviews and worst video game lists on youtube, and I started to see one reviewer after another include it in their videos. At first I thought "look at this idiot who thinks that Altered Beast is crap"...but eventually it dawned on me that I am in the minority on this one and I might actually be the idiot! Well I gotta agree that it deserves all the hate it gets as the mega drive version was a crappy port of a mediocre arcade game.

Pit Fighter. I played this quite a bit at my arcade, then came to realize the machine was always open because nobody else wanted to be near it.

Perfect Dark, Sonic Adventure, and Super Paper Mario. None of those are hated At worst Sonic Adventure gets "It's not aged well, but still decent" Perfect Dark might be a stretch but Super Paper Mario gets hated on because it's not like Paper Mario TTYD. I understand that but I still think it's a fantastic game. Sonic Adventure you can't go anywhere without people trashing it because "lol Sonic sucks". When it came out it was good. The DX port for GC and what they put on every digital download store is flat out garbage and that's the one newer fans have played. It's not aged the best but it's not the buggy mess everyone says that it is. Another game I forgot about is Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. I get that it is slower than the other games but I thought it was really good and a major step up from gen 3. It's such a major step up in the franchise.

This. Dynasty Warriors. Same game every time? It's more different than COD every year. and most of these... there are some that I really disliked but yeah I love them... especially the Empires spin off. Altered beast is hated? That game is great. I'm probably the one person in the world that actually liked Duke Nukem Forever... Most of what I saw was that it was mediocre and kinda confused with how it basically went through 3 generations of FPS styles... but the most flak it gets is that it took 15 years to come out and anything other than a mindblowingly amazing game was going to be seen as a letdown. Grand Theft Auto IV. It seems to be everybody's least favourite GTA but is my favourite game of all time. It's the only GTA that I ever actually played through the story instead of wandering around blowing shit up. If anything Super Paper Mario's reputation has improved after the very mixed reception to Sticker Star and Color Splash. Outside of Thousand Year Door ... I never thought the Paper Mario games were anything really special...and I'd probably put Color splash above most of the others in the series too.
