I really don't know. I know my grandpa showed me it. I was 6, probably just liked watching TV with my grandpa.

A couple of days before Survivor Series 93 I think. The Steiners and a few others were in the ring and Taker comes out stands in the middle of the ring and opens his coat to reveal an old American style flag.
I didn't have Sky Sports but when the Survivor Series was on a few days later if you flicked on to the channel you could make out bits of what was going on for a couple if seconds and I remember seeing Doink the Clown and thinking this stuff looked so cool.

British Bulldog. Watching him in 97. I wanted to be just like him. Even if he was a heel. He was working with Goldust who as a kid scared me lol.

getting mocked for always picking the ninja (because i didn't know who anyone was) for WCW vs. nWo: World Tour Lol the ninja was my favorite, he did the flip onto the corner. Years later in botchamania I learned who the great Sasuke was when he started beating up the dirt bike kid

Reading through these and seeing how most of us became fans it's interesting that they don't have a Saturday morning show anymore and I have to believe that not having video stores where a kid can rent a ppv has to hurt as well.
As for me, I just remember flipping through channels and seeing the Ultimate Warrior sprinting down to the ring. I couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 years old but I've loved it every since. I remember being a kid and thinking that Bret and Shawn would never retire. I couldn't even imagine a WWF without them, although I couldn't imagine a WWF without the F for that matter.

I really am not sure when. By 82 I was watching every bit of wrestling a rooftop antenna plus a giant set of rabbit ears got me. Buying all the mags. First match I remember seeing was mid to late 70s George Steele vs . For some reason I thought Steele's name was the Lizard. And kept telling my cousin, who was a huge wrestling fan about this big hairy guy named the Lizard.

My cousin who I stayed with began getting into WWF in late 1999. My mum ended up getting me figures for that years christmas despite not actually liking it, then my cousins friend brought round a taped VHS of Royal Rumble 2000 and I was hooked.

I have been a fan of wrestling since before I was self aware. My dad was a big fan since he was a kid in the 50s and 60s and he'd have it on when I was a kid. I think I liked it because Dad liked it, but it remained my favorite thing because there were colorful cartoon like personalities, yet it was still real life so it felt more important than cartoons. Also, as a little boy, you're always slightly drawn more to things with conflict and violence. And this was a more sanitized version of that.
I've remained a fan through adulthood because it's just so absurd. I love sports and wrestling is presented like a sport, but all the things you morbidly WISH would happen in real sports happen here. What if your least favorite team was openly brazen about being the epitome of evil? What if a player could beat up an umpire that you thought had cheated your team? What if that loudmouth commentator who was never fair to your favorite player could get powerbombed through the TV sports desk? There's competition but it's surrounded by so much more. There's a primal satisfaction to watching wrestling. At its best, there's just nothing in the world that is as goddamn fun as wrestling.

I think I must have been about 7-8 years old when my parents got satellite tv. There was a show (possibly Superstars?) on Sky One, which was channel 8 on the old Amstrad box that I started to tune into.
That led to building up a pretty big Coliseum home video collection. You know, the ones with Lord Alfred Hayes. Man, I loved the babyfaces as a young kid. Texas Tornado, Jimmy Snuka, The Rockers etc. I was devastated and hated Shawn after Janetty threw himself through the Barber Shop window.
My 2 favourites though, were Bulldog and Hogan. Bulldog because he was duh, British, and Hogan because through the eyes of a little kid he was awesome. I remember being legit terrified when he first went up against Taker, although in time Taker would become my all-time favourite.
I kind of miss that, you know. Being a little kid and believing it's real.
I still don't think 8 year old me would like Roman Reigns though.

Back in high school. Before that, I really didn't know when the WWE/F would air, and while I played some video games, I didn't really watch it due to not knowing where and when it aired. Around high school, a cable channel started to air it, and I began to watch.
Still, the one moment that got me hooked, the first time when I was watching when I got out of my seat from excitement, was during the Vengeance PPV, the hell in a cell match with Batista vs. HHH. After that, I started to watch every week.
Don't watch as much now, but that match is more or less the catalyst that led me here. One more thing to blame on HHH, haha!

I was on the cusp of being a Teenager at the height of the Attitude Era. It was inevitable.
More specifically, Ausin, The Rock and Shawn Michaels.

It's just always been a thing for me. My mom has even told me that when I was a baby, she would put me in my little walker thing in front of the TV, turn on wrestling, and I wouldn't walk anywhere. I would just stare at the TV, transfixed until wrestling went off.

December 22, 1997. The nWo takes over WCW Monday Nitro.
I guess I was just flipping through the channels and stumbled upon all the nWo members tearing the arena apart, which had me transfixed. Yes, the moment some people claim as one of the worst Nitro moments ever caught this then-7-year-old's eye and somehow hooked him forever.
I stayed tuned the rest of the night and I remember watching the next week, with Booker T winning the Television Championship and the "unfinished" Sting vs. Hogan match and the rest, as they say, is history.

My aunt and uncle were big wrestling fans of the AWA and NWA. This had to be about 1991 when my parents and I moved back to the Quad Cities and lived with my aunt and uncle for a couple of months while my parents found a house. ]All four of them would play gin, spades, etc. and there was a weird program on TBS that my uncle had on in the living room. I was interested somewhat, but then we moved to our house and I found the WWF and one of the first things I watched in my new house was Jake the Snake unleashing the cobra on Randy Savage. I was hooked. I got my parents to rent me tapes from the video store, They had a chance to stop this obsession 26 years ago and I'll never forgive them for not doing it

I was in my local bowling ally, summer of 1994, and I saw the WrestleFest Arcade cabinet. The crazy characters sucked me. Though, since I found the game in 1994, the whole roster was out of date and with a few exceptions, none of those guys were in the company anymore by that point. So that got me interested in renting Coliseum videos from 1985-91, and I was off to the races after that.

On vacation in California (from Europe) visiting my grandma. "Wrestling Challenge" was on and I saw the then debuting Undertaker. Was immediatly hooked. Fortunately WWF started airing in my home country shortly after that.
