Finally got around to watching it and...didn't care for it. Cena's spot on in his role, but otherwise, nothing comes off as genuine. Even in parody form, it doesn't feel like Memphis or any other 80s regional show. Cena did good though. The rest, not so much. Some people overthink stuff way too much it's wasn't supposed to be genuine. It was parodying 80's regional wrestling show to a ridiculous degree not an exact replica. Its just Dudes having fun for some quick content for their YouTube channel nothing more and nothing really worth complaining about.

I can't wait to see the numbers for how this shirt does Vince: "Alright guys, who is selling the most T-Shirts these days? Cena? Sheamus? Roman? It's Roman, right?" Business Dude: "Well, um...Actually, sir...it's, um, The Sea Creature?"

I love that we're up to 41 pages of (mostly) fun and positivity.
Not to get all Chet Chetterfield on everyone, but I've been having one of those weeks, with my SO dealing with a (relatively minor but upsetting) health issue, the world and national news being as depressing as usual, and (on a lesser note) feeling meh about what is supposed to be the biggest wrestling event of the year. It's nice to open up this thread and recharge my smile again.
Difficult as it is to define Good Silly versus Stupid Silly—and I'm not sure why it is that I hated shit like Los Matadores and Hornswoggle, but love the Broken Hardys and Southpaw—I feel like the overwhelming response to SRW is evidence that we need more genuine fun in wrestling.
I don't know if it's the fact that things are so overproduced these days, that there are too many writers/creative people with their fingers in the pie, or what, but there's a certain charm that's present in this kind of stuff, yet completely missing from the main product.

May want to go an re-read my post and the part where it said "even in parody form..." When I say "genuine" I don't mean it in a copy-it-exactly way. If I didn't know what it was supposed to be beforehand, I wouldn't have guessed it as a parody of the regionals, but rather of the late 90s/early 2000s indies like NWA-Wildside.

I watched that cheesy video the other day and I can't be the only one wondering if that was Ole Anderson channeling his Black Scorpion/Shockmaster voice.

I'm so bummed that this won't arrive until after mania, not as bummed as when I found out 1987 wasn't a leap year though.

I know what they're going for with the tshirt....and I'll probably buy one eventually just because...but I really wish they'd release a version with the colors flipped. I HATE white shirts and avoid them as much as possible

Was that Ric Flair doing an impression of Ric Flair? Because my ears are 100% certain that was the actual Ric Flair
