Disney might be the #1 name in animation, but even they've made some stinkers in the past.
What are the biggest stains on the Disney Canon?
(It should be noted that a movie that's bad by Disney standards is still better than the majority of movies out there)
(Also, animated feature films only)

I've never personally seen it, but I haven't heard much good about Home On The Range. Or any of their early-to-mid-2000s output, for that matter.

I've never seen Brother Bear, Home on the Range, Chicken Little or Meet the Robinsons, but that seems like a completely forgettable block of films. Also never saw Black Cauldron.
I have seen Bolt, and that was probably the most forgettable Disney movie I've seen.
After Bolt Disney hasn't had a single miss.

Home on the Range, is probably the worst.
Black Cauldron was more of a let down than flat out bad in my opinion...
Oliver and Company wasn't particularly good from what I remember.
edit: How was the 2011 Pooh movie I remember that not getting a great reception.

I was assuming he meant 2d animation but yeah this too if you include their 3d work.

Since no one has said Home on the Range, I'll do it, even though I've never seen it.

How was the 2011 Pooh movie I remember that not getting a great reception. Did nothing numbers box office wise (opening against the last Harry Potter film will do that). With critics and to most Disney/Pooh fans it was really good. Other than stuff like Lilo and Stich or Emperor's New Groove that post-Renaissance Dork Age period (after Fantastia 2000, before Princess and the Frog) had a lot of dubious releases. Even the Dark Age era (70-88) disappointments were at least interesting.

edit: How was the 2011 Pooh movie I remember that not getting a great reception. no, it got a great reception (RT 90% critics/80% audience), it was just killed at the box office because some genius decided it should go head to head with the final Harry Potter movie. its actually quite funny

My wife and I saw Pooh and were the only adults without very, very young children.
It was magic. It also had a really great short before it about the Loch Ness monster
It was also very short, only 63 minutes. That isn't even a feature length film under SAG rules (though anything over 40 minutes is by other measures)

Home on the Range virtually killed traditional animation at Disney, with The Princess and the Frog being grandfathered.
I'm saying something controversial & that's Atlantis: the Lost Empire. Failed miserably at what it and Treasure Planet were trying to achieve (appeal to preteen boys) & had a very forgettable story. Also, like The Black Cauldron, it felt too violent for a Disney movie.
Of course, I won't crap on Cauldron or Oliver and Company (except for it having three of the most grisly deaths in Disney history) that much, because at least the animation studio wanted to get the company out of "relic" status before The Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, and Aladdin came out that changed the perception overnight.
Though, they still under delivered.

I had a big, long post ready. Then I realized this is "worst" and not "overrated". Now if we did that thread, I'd tee off. Are we keeping the Pixar films separate? Cause I thought "The Good Dinosaur" was a total stinker. Looked pretty and all, but I struggled to get to the end of that. The Emperor's New Groove shut me off Disney stuff for awhile. I remember seeing the trailer for that in theaters and thinking I'd hit the point where I was too old for Disney films, which was my view of non-Pixar Disney for a LONG time (until The Princess and the Frog). Even now, when I go back and watch clips of it, you couldn't pay me to sit down and watch that. Meet The Robinsons is deceptively good. Not great, not a masterpiece, but the ad campaign for that made it look SO much worse than it really was. I'd put it over the rest of that list pretty easily, just for the story alone (though I think Bolt really wasn't that bad). I didn't think the film was very funny, but it told a good story with some good twists.

I thought Bolt was a really fun film. Likeable characters and quite a good story.
Out of the ones I've seen (never seen Home on the Range, Brother Bear or The Black Cauldron) I'll go with Treasure Planet. I really don't remember much of that at all. In fact can't remember a single thing about it.

Emperor's New Groove is awesome. sure it'll never be ranked among the classics like Peter Pan or Beauty and the Best, but it is easily one of the funniest they ever made
