You know, the way that Braun interacted with Taker and Roman during the build up to Mania almost seemed like Braun respected Undertaker too much to finish the Deadman off. (Braun never laid a hand on Taker, IIRC) It would be an interesting choice if Braun was now pursuing Roman because he's pissed that Roman retired the Deadman. You know, the 7-year expiration date has ended for WM 24. Braun is Batista, Reigns is HBK, and Taker is Flair. Now we just need to find a Jericho....

Roman's booking makes sense ONLY on paper... the booking is progressively more and more grandiose as Roman first started as the undefeated 3rd part of The Shield in 6-Man Tag team matches until they dropped the tag titles/streak to Team Hell No and Ryback (or Cena or whoever ended their streak).
Next as a singles guy Roman was the one who ended Ryback's undefeated streak, no counting the Brad Maddox fast-count or even the (several) times the Shield triple-power-bombed Roman for the Dusty Finish during a WWE title match against CM Punk. But when The Shield faced Hell No and Ryback in a legit 3 on 3, Ryback was pinned clean by Rollins after Roman did the damage.
In 2013 Roman broke the record for most eliminations in a Survivor Series match. Then he broke the Royal Rumble most eliminations in a single Rumble. Then he defeated the undefeated Braun Stroman literally just after Braun had no trouble squashing 4 guys simultaneously in a handicap match. Defeating (RETIRING) the Undertaker is simply the latest 'big moment' the WWE have given to Tha Big Dawg to try and make his overpowered kayfabe skills outshine the sheer vitriol he inspires in the WWE Universe.
Again, on paper, Roman Reigns is more impressive than Big Match John. Only Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, and maybe John Cena could believably beat Reigns in a clean one-on-one match the way he's been booked since debut. In reality, Roman needs to become more vulnearable cause clearly now that Cena is not winning every match every night, he's become a HELL of a lot more tolerable. Same could be said with Roman if he 1) turns heel and 2) lays down on the mat to some people, for gods sakes.
