Dean Ambrose got crushed by a forklift on SmackDown and worked a dark main event THAT NIGHT. Whatever this issue is, it's a whole WWE thing, not a "REIGNS MUST LOOK STRONG RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE" thing.

House shows only have to adhere to canon when we are irritated about it. Otherwise, it's okay for there to be a spinaroonie contest, etc.

ROMAN REIGNS LIVES ...as kayfabe continues to die. Kayfabe died when R-Truth returned after exploding the week before. clearly there were a few stray atoms of R-Truth DNA in the surviving smoking shoes that allowed his previously unknown and never (not) mentioned again wolverine level healing factor to kick in and fully regenerate him before the following week's RAW.

Jesus Christ, people are overreacting a bit here.
He's meant to be the top star of the brand, of course they're going to have him make house show dates even if he's meant to be injured on TV.
House shows don't really matter to television continuity anyway.
He'll when Cena was meant to be fired they had him show up on house shows as Juan Cena as that's a better option than holding him from them and offering a refund.

I just love that the report makes it sound like he progressively sold less and less until just going "ah, f*** it"

Well, there goes my theory that he actually was injured and was getting a few weeks off. Inside Vince's head: "My God, imagine how strong Roman will look if he can shrug off that assault within a week? They'll have to love him then!"

I agree with that to a certain extent, but given Roman's haphazard booking you can't help but think this was a way to get a crowd to make him think he's a battling main man if he's back from that beating in a week.

Agreed, they've been doing this for years, back in 91 the same TV taping that Taker locked Warrior in the coffin and he was gasping for air, he came back out at the end and teamed with Hogan vs. Taker/Adnan/Slaughter for Coliseum Video.

If a guy can comeback and take down a giant 5 days after that attack, how is anyone supposed to get excited for a clothesline or an elbow drop? No wonder most Raw matches sound like they're taking place at a library. What rube is gonna waste their breath reacting to basic moves when getting beaten and dumped in an ambulance just produces some slight pain that a little will power can overcome? Go rewatch the lead-up to WM30 and the night near-death DB overcame, while injured, three of the top names on roster and after climbing off of a headboard and fighting off medics to overcome the odds, completely no-sold every single injury to celebrate that night and the next night on Raw ... Then tell me all about Superman booking and this continuity you seek.

Probably more on this thread about a house show than in the entirety of posts about WM30, which is kind of ridiculous.

Daniel Bryan in that Wrestlemania 30 buildup was more resilient than a Looney Tunes character. Austin had his invincible moments too. It's probably what they're trying to do with Reigns. I was commenting on the overall way they book these backstage brawls type deals. They almost never have a lasting effect. So guys are surviving these ridiculous attacks and then we're supposed to be invested in regular moves during matches. It's no wonder that at most live events the crowds only react to the entrance and the finish.

Look... I'll make a deal with you, wwe... I'll cheer Roman if you do away with the 27 extra superman punches and 16 extra spears that he does in every match.

House shows have never, and will never, mean jack or shit in way of continuity. Pretty much. Like Finn Balor returning in a house show a couple of weeks before his return in a tag match against Triple H where Triple H signaled the Too Sweet gesture to him. Or how they were running John Cena vs. Triple H in a couple of houseshows a few weeks before WM22 basically rehearsing the match. I'm also wondering if Roman Reigns is taking time off for a movie or some appearance or something and just finishing his schedule.

While #NotMyTopGuy is not my favorite sports entertainer I love when the human spirit triumphs over adversity. If this was me I'm not gonna lie I'd take a week or 2 off but that's just me.

I once watched a guy in Dragon Gate no-sell SEVEN STRAIGHT BRAINBUSTERS in succession and come right back.
Because "Japanese Fighting Spirit" makes it OK.
