I'm glad to see Cesaro as a heel again for the first time in a while, but I was really digging Sheamus as a face again. I'm the opposite on that. Cesaro works best as a face, IMO, particularly with his crowd-popping moveset and energy. Sheamus was certainly finding his feet again as a face, too, so I think a heel turn is a backwards step for both guys, even if it has been done out of necessity. Cesaro is an absolute natural face. The sheer explosion of energy he went on when he first turned face after the Andre and the whole Cesaro Section started (plus his insane 1-man-army sprees where he was working the front row crowd like a mofo)....He's way more a face. But can't really cut face promos. So if being a heel helps him find some swagger to finally pick his promos up, I'll settle for a short heel run. Really though I just will take ANYTHING that shows they're interested in him.

They were clear stand-ins foe the revival, but hot damn, are they making it work

"I see you've got some nice Hardys there WWE. You wouldn't want anything to happen to them, would you?""My tag team partner's right, you wanna be careful, don't 'cha? You wouldn't want them to be damaged, now.""Especially when "accidents" happen. Be a real shame if your Matt Hardy were to break."*Sheamus Brogue Kicks a jobber*"Oh dear, look at that. We can be so clumsy when we're unhappy.""Tell ya what, you give us a shot at the tag team belts on RAW, and we can guarantee you your Hardys won't be done over. They'll be kept all safe like." Sheamus and Cesaro with a Kray Twins gimmick? ...

I love how pleased Sheamus was with himself on Talking Smack Raw Talk.

Why does Sheamus look like he is in A Clockwork Orange? You mean the coat-hanger lookion thing above his eye? He was split open pretty badly a while ago, and that's wound healing. I advice against searching for photos, as they are quite graphic. You can see he has a pretty impressive black eye, too.

Highlight of the night for me. Amazing match followed by a heel turn that I was bummed wasn't going to happen. I wonder if they'll adjust their entrance now?
On a related note: not sure if it's just me getting older, but as my attention span for one-on-one matches dwindle, the tag team matches always keep me interested. May have something to do with the belts constantly being up for grabs.

Are they not done with it yet? WWE wanted it done ASAP, and I assume TNA would take any money given to them at this point so... Im hoping it's done with, otherwise seems pointless to have that ending angle where Matt gets kicked to hell and his face looks like it did... They may have wanted it done ASAP but we all know the legal process has its way of dragging shit as I am pretty sure terms have to be worked out and TNA I assume does not want a one time fee(If I am not mistaken that is what Matt wanted to do but TNA said no). They will try to poach royalties and and anything else they can do before letting this gimmick go. However, last week rumor got around WWE bought the gimmick from TNA which Reby is denying. Matt has been tweeting stuff in his broken character but TNA still has trademarks on the the "broken universe". If anything they are going to have Matt keep taking knocks to the head until they can officially put the character on TV I still say the "lawsuit" stuff is overstated BS. All the relevant trademarks are in Matt's name, have gone uncontested by TNA/Impact/Anthem, and that's all in the public record. On top of that Matt has been using the Broken mannerisms and catchphrases constantly on TV, which WWE would absolutely not let him do if there was even a hint of legal ramifications. They're just slow-burning the transformation into full Broken mode by getting the nostalgia run out of the way early.

There's less danger of a lawsuit really and more of TNA waiting until they got in the thick of it and then going, "Bam, cease and desist!" then doing everything they could to drag out that inevitably being struck down. They're absolutely petty enough to try that. That said, I'm inclined to think contrary to what Reby said, the situation's probably been ironed out. The only real reason for TNA to even be doing this is looking to get a payday out of it from WWE since there's nothing they could actually do with the gimmick anyway.

If there was even a hint that a C&D would happen at any point WWE would've had Matt dye his hair back to its natural colour and have him drop any hint of the gimmick. Reby's fronting feels more like her trying to work people, either to make the inevitable moment Matt "breaks" more of a surprise or to squeeze a few more dollars out of that sweet, sweet "f*** that owl" merchandise.

I'm all for it. I prefer Cesaro as a face, but he still makes a damn good heel, and I've always preferred heel Sheamus.
A great setup to bringing back the Broken gimmick as well, can't wait to see where it goes.

I thought they'd make Sheamo a face and be separate, I guess this is good too though.

Agreed...I'm curious to see how they book a heel cesaro now vs the past and it was probably time for a change. On a side note, Sheamus really caught hell on meltzers show for the tooth thing. It is surprising that Sheamus doesn't catch more grief for injuring people than he does..especially considering all the absurd outrage against rollings and mahal.

I kind of love the twist the face and heel who were feuding and then became the best of friends wound up corrupting the face instead of redeeming the heel.

Watching this morning I was honestly thrown when it happened. In fact I remember thinking at the time that them hugging and walking off was a bit of a lame finish. I don't want sportsmanship in professional wrestling, I want them to beat the hell out of each other and deliver over the top promos. With these four I have every faith in this rivalry!

Reluctant babyface Sheamus was my favourite Sheamus ever. I would have much preferred a feud that started as face v face, with some accidental shots turning Matt broken, with the Hardys turning heel instead.
