I mean, Brock is Brock so nobody's gonna challenge him. You can tell Orton to give up the title if you want but don't be surprised when your house catches on fire later that night.

If Heyman was booking, I think Brock would've squashed say Ellsworth at Payback, or somebody on a random Raw. Which would've been great. In general it really is a waste to not have the champ on TV. Especially since Brock renegotiated and doesn't have the other career to sideline him, compared to his last reign in 2014. Get the guy on TV more, or at least on the PPV once a month, c'mon now.

2005 Trish Stratus laughs at your feeble 30 days without defending your championship.

Like rematch clauses, they're a lazy crutch that only exists when it's convenient. It's like the count out or DQ rule, as somebody above me said. It's only when it's convenient to the story they're trying to tell. I've recently seen a match that had ended by countout when one guy punched another back into the ring at 8, then didn't make it back in the ring in time. (Buddy Rose vs. Ivan Putski if you must know. It was better than it sounds.) The next match was Pedro Morales vs. Magnificent Muraco. Anytime Muraco beat up Pedro on the floor, ref would count. Muraco goes back into the ring, ref restarted the count.
