I'd read the book. I'm sure he's got wild and wacky backstage tales that I love.

If someone decided to force him out, it would probably be in an early retirement manner where he gets a ton of money to step away. Most likely there would be something written into that which prevents him from badmouthing the company or undermining future growth.
He would very likely retain his seat on the board as long as he wants it and/or be kept around as a consultant. The only scenarios that seem plausible for this are:
The company is sold and the new ownership cleans house to put their own people in charge
Vince retires & the kids don't value Dunn the same way or see him as too much a link to Vince
He decides to retire or step away, but needs to do so slowly to untangle his responsibilities and/or payout

The guy is one of the longest tenured employee's in company history so I'm sure a tell all would be fascinating. But I highly doubt he would do a tell all since the guy might be worth 9 figures and isn't a public figure and I doubt he wants to seriously risk any NDA agreements.

Well the man has to retire one day. I'm sure he'll write some memoirs to fit in with the Hollywood types.

I know it's a slightly different case but when Vince Sr sold the company to Junior, he asked that he took care of some of his guys, like Skaaland and Gorilla. Should Vince step down, I imagine he'd ask for the same courtesy to be extended to people like Dunn and Jim Johnston. Although I get the feeling that when Vince does finally retire, Dunn will probably see that as the right time to stand down too.

If the WWE tanked tomorrow, taking the pensions and investments of all it's actual employees down while the McMahons walked away from it all without having to endure any sort of hardship, then maybe, but otherwise it's never going to happen. Dunn is not a wrestler, he's fabulously wealthy in his own right and has no need to grind axes in public.

Although I get the feeling that when Vince does finally retire, Dunn will probably see that as the right time to stand down too. Seems like Johnston doesn't really do too much these days, CFO$ is making all of the music now, kind of wondering if he retired. But he's going to be getting royalty checks for the rest of his life. As far as Dunn goes, unlike Vince Sr.'s company, there are shares and Dunn is on the Board of Directors, which pretty preserves him past McMahon. HHH/Stephanie will have to buy him out to get him out of there and he currently owns more shares than them. So what would really be telling, is when Vince either passes away or retires, how his shares will be distributed? I'm guessing if he retires, he would expect to be bought out like he did with his father. Either way, Dunn is going to be even more wealthy and you would think he would be okay with being bought out once Vince is gone. If he refuses a buy out, that would prove him to be an incredibly stubborn man, who cares more about power than money.
