I swear.
I turn on the TV, awaiting the amazing QB skills (and obvious victory) from Charlie Batch and I see Big Ben STARTING?
Would Cowher start him if he was stabbed? I mean, what does it take to have Ben sit on the flipping bench?!
Did the Week 1 Victory mean absolutely nothing? Charlie Batch can hold the team together quite well and...
Crap. Ben just threw a pick.
Come on...

Yeah, Ben is sucking an blowing at the same time. I thought he should have sat out this game cuz he may be one or two quick concussions away from being the next Troy Aikman or Steve Young

I wish that they would consider his health. He isn't playing like he did before and something is obviously wrong.
He crashed his motorcycle over the break. He had surgery that made him miss the first game. He played the second game with a fever. He has taken many, many hard hits (a given for playing). He was knocked UNCONCIOUS last week.
Why is he in? What could possibly be the reason?

Depening on how Romo does tonight, "I" may be clamoring for Batch come next week.

Nah, Troy got THREE rings. Ben's not getting that many You people need to go back to Cleveland. Ben is having a less than stellar season BUT, you have to look back at what he can do. He needs to get his game back, needs to be in there to work through whatever he's got going on... and it is mental. He's not going to fix it sitting on the bench. Believe me, if he had not gotten medical clearance or there was the least bit of doubt he was healthy.. he would not be in there. Right now, he's struggling. He's forcing the play and it's not working for him. This has nothing to do with his physical health. Ben is NOT the sole reason that the team is blowing chunks right now. The D is missing tackles, grabbing at feet instead of wrapping up the tackles. The running game SUCKS. Willie is not effective against this D, put Davenport in (and I say that completely not trying to get any fantasy points from it). The OL is banged up and with the exception of the KC game.. the Steelers have not played a complete game this season, nor most of last and that INCLUDES the Super Bowl. Most of the wins last year were ugly ugly wins. Games that we were outplayed in and just go so damn lucky. Just so lucky the Oakland offense can't capitalize on the turnovers.

Good God, the Giants won despite punting eight times.
Even when we suck, we're better than you!

I never thought I'd see the day when somebody was wanting Charlie Batch to start. I have been waiting since Week 2. Charlie Batch unleashed his awesomeness, but Cowher fears it. Batch needs a chance. A chance...to dominate.

A chance...to dominate. Batch is an OK guy to have on the bench, but he's not a starter. He's not the franchise QB. Too many people are writing Ben off too quickly because he's having a rough year. The man has been in a nearly fatal motorcycle accident, had his appendix removed and suffered a concussion.. I dare say most of you would be curled up in a sniveling ball. Ben is a tough kid, he's showing he's got guts and determination. Our season is pretty much shot, just let him get his game back and be on top of things for next season

Our season is pretty much shot, just let him get his game back and be on top of things for next season Would I be a sniveling ball of pain. Yes. Most definitly. Which is why I avoid Motorcycles. However, there was NO good reason for Ben to be in the game today. Look what happened. Around 200 yards passing (most of it yards AFTER catch) and 4 INTS. I can understand Ben showing "Guts and Determination" but what is that going to get him when he is in a wheelchair unable to move the hand where his ring resides. He needs to get healthy. Why would Cowher start him? There is no positive. The man was UNCONCIOUS (Stated once, but I'll say it over and over.) for some time last week and had a concussion. Cowher was worried about Ben taking a plane ride. Yet he starts him? What is the possible reasoning? To keep him fresh? Come on... Batch has experience. Batch was fresh. Batch has shown (All the way back in week one) that he can lead the team to a victory. Batch should have been QB for today.

I can't believe they just lost to the Raiders, even more so can't believe Ben threw FOUR more INTs.
I agree Big Ben is the starter for the franchise for the foreseeable future, but I really think Batch should be starting. He's done nothing this year to show he shouldn't. Ben's long term health should be more important.
BTW, could we be looking at ANOTHER year where both Superbowl teams have major season long issues?

When you throw FOUR INTs in one game, that's bad. When you throw FOUR INTs in one game while losing against the RAIDERS, it's time to go.
I think we should start calling Cowher "Cowher the Coward" if he doesn't have the balls to start Batch next week when Ben's not even at 50%.
