The whole MMA argument is stupid because it was Conor that said he could come to boxing and beat Mayweather. Easily. Said he would knock him out in 2 rounds. He is the one who stirred this hornet nest.

I still can't get over the post fight interviews. Conner looked like shit and Mayweather looked pristine. This was a classic "NBA serious sweep" style beatdown. Mcgregor got sucked in early and punched himself tired.
McGregor should have watched Rocky 3.

I thought Mayweather was toying with him from round 1. McGregor had nothing on his punches even in the beginning. He was landing punches but there was no power behind them, which is why Floyd was able to take it and not be fazed by it. Once McGregor got tired, it was over. Mayweather played him that whole fight, which is not surprising given the experience difference.
Fight was definitely entertaining. Not a great boxing match but an entertaining spectacle that left you satisfied as a viewer. Basically everything wrestling should be when done properly.

Huh. He wasn't protecting himself at all. His hands were at his sides. Once you are out on your feet you are done. The ref stoppage came because Connor back was against the ropes and that was the only thing holding him up. 5 more seconds and he would have been on the canvas Like I said before, if the ref doesn't stop the fight, the best outcome for Connor is that he only gets dropped. And there was a warning, at the beginning of every fight the ref tells both boxers "Protect yourself at all times." Yea I feel like a lot of "uneducated fans" are judging this based upon MMA or wrestling when boxing isn't like that. As I said many times in this thread boxing is a skill not everyone can do which is what MMA fans and fighters aren't understanding. There's no fix and to keep saying that means you didn't watch the fight and if you thought Connor stood a chance in the boxing ring against Floyd you need to pay attention. However, I rather talk about the entertainment in the fight than others talking about a fix or Floyd gets destroyed in an MMA fight

Yes they're both rich as hell and Conor is obviously a tough guy but only Floyd won. Some people have got way too excited about Conor winning the first couple of rounds. That's just Floyd's style. Many times before he's just LET opponents hit him. Suss them out at the start and then just comfortably out box them once they're figured out and leave without a scratch on him.

Yea he was "Pretty Boy" Floyd because he never got cut and no one can touch him before he went all in on the Money Mayweather persona. If you want a comparision to the Connor/Mayweather fight you probably have to go back to when Mayweather fought Maidana. For 6 rounds Maidana was all over Mayweather, pushing him into the rounds, putting his body all over him, basically anything "dirty" to keep Mayweather off his game. However, Mayweather gained his distance and just tacked him for the next 6 rounds for an easy decision. Maidana only got a rematch because of what he did the first 6 rounds and that rematch was a complete ass whooping. Like I said before this wasn't Floyd's best boxing match by a long shot but it was classic Floyd in regards to first few rounds he sees the patterns and then after that he's getting you but the biggest change in this fight was Floyd actually stepped forward because Connor couldn't hurt him
