Why do the Triggers have a penis for a logo?

Why do the Triggers have a penis for a logo? Bakersfield is the worst offender in this sea of MS Paint stuff. They've been in three cities in three years (Las Vegas, Topeka, and Bakersfield), and the only change to a really blocky emblem was a Times New Roman "T" on the scarf during the Topeka season.

The islanders logo in the mid 90s was terrible. A fisherman with a Hockey Stick? Give me a break!

Isn't the Pecos League like super-ghetto?

Isn't the Pecos League like super-ghetto? It's one of those smaller groups that give locals a chance to cheer a team and gives undrafted players a little professional experience. Goes back to the pre-1950s era when it seemed like EVERYBODY had a team because the minor league classifications were way different. It's a money pit for sure, because they're independent. You're not retiring from your full-time job playing in a league like that. We have the American Association here, which is not the same league as the former minor league stronghold, but it's one of the top independent leagues in the country. Players make about $1750 a month (or more). A lot of them stay with regional families during the season - kinda like an exchange student. Host families get free season passes, guys find part-time jobs. They love the game and feel that one day a major league scout will sign them. (Our RailCats have had a few players signed to teams. Their most well-known player was Cristian Guerrero, who is Vladimir's brother.)

Seriously 90s/Early 2000s sport logos sucked. A lot of the Brandeis minor league logos of today falls into this category as well. Their campaigns all fall into the same categories: 1) Think of the most absurd things and have fans vote on it. 2) Logos are pretty much all the same; silly mascot with city & nickname underneath. A lot of the NBA logos are starting to look similar as well. The half-and-half/two-tone logo is overdone. (Memphis, Dallas, Minnesota...I'm looking at you.)

It was a perfectly acceptable placeholder in the summer of 2008. There's no reason why it should still be the primary logo nearly 10 years later.

I have been through Alpine a million times. I have never seen that abstract logo referenced before anywhere.

The Clippers have had the worst logos in the "big 4" since, like, ever. Also the worst jerseys, too.

Oklahoma is kind of shaped like a basketball hoop in profile. Just have a ball being shot into it with lightning bolts as swoosh marks or something. I literally thought of that in 10 seconds, and while it sucks I'd rather have that than the generic logo that's pictured here.

I would say that this is the worst logo of the Big 4 for that reason. I dunno. It is of course a trash logo but the Nets' current logo isn't much better and in fact is probably worse because it doesn't even have that "it was a placeholder we just didn't get around to changing yet" excuse. On top of that it even looks like a placeholder too! And both logos are god damn shields with a basketball on them! Gah!!!!!

There is no excuse for OKC to still be parading that abortion of a 'logo' around, 9 years later. It was meant to be a placeholder.
It's truly the worst logo in the 4 major leagues. And it's not even close.
It looks like it belongs to a little league team.
There are teams in the Pecos League with better logos than OKC's.
Is Clay Bennett THAT stupid to think it looks good?
NOw I understand why Durant left. Who in their right mind would want to represent THAT logo and THOSE uniforms as players?
Disgusting.

In terms of the Big 4, my worst are as follows:
MLB - Marlins
NBA - Thunder
NHL - Avalanche
NFL - Titans
