Finger Poke of Doom once that happened, WCW was done for and there was no coming back for them.

Hogan turning and the Fingerpoke of Doom/Butts in Seats were the biggest for me.
Hogan turning made it a real competition.
I remember as a 14 year old excitedly flipping over to Raw to watch Foley win the title after Tony spoiled it...then being pumped that there was enough time to watch the big WCW title match on Nitro. I'm not sure if I ever watched Nitro again outside of during commercial breaks, the Fongerpoke was it for me.

One thing that's not on the list that should be, is Shawn Michaels back injury. HBK leaving allowed Austin and the Rock to grow and be the Main Event Stars without him hogging the Lime light and politicking to have the belt right back after dropping it at WM14, which probably what would have happened if he hadn't.

I was always someone who was a WWF guy first and foremost. However at the same time I was also a WCW fan, but this was before Hogan showed up in 94, and turned into an 80's WWF reboot. After that I was pretty much done with WCW. That said I was also not a big fan the prime Attitude Era yeas of 98, 99. I still watched, but as hard as it is for some to believe, I just was not into it like I was when I was younger. It wasn't the raunchier content, just the way that it was presented. So while many people have such great nostalgia for 98/99 WWF, I just dont. However in 2000 things began to change, the match quality got much better, bringing in guys like Jericho, Kurt Angle, and The Radicals changed things. We started getting great wrestling matches instead of the kick, punch fests that dominated 98/99.
Its weird. I love 1997, 2000, and 2001 WWF, and at best I'm apathetic to 99/99. WCW was a non factor at that point because I had been done with them for years. So I guess maybe I'm thinking when Austin took time off started the change of things getting better in my eyes. I guess I'm just rambling here, but I'm just trying to describe how my fandom was during the wars.

Surely people would have switched to Foleys title win, even if tony hadnt added the butts in seat part.
