Also, if Owens is leaving to rehab an injury, I hope they find a way to bring him back fresh. I'd love a heel/face tag team with Sami similar to Sting and Luger in WCW.

A great angle would be for a guy to win all of the belts on the house shows one weekend. He just shows up on Raw or SD with 4 or 5 belts out of nowhere.  Okay it might not be great, but it would be wacky.

The last house show title change I personally remember (I know there have been more recent ones, as noted ITT) was Edge beating Jeff Jarrett for the IC title at a house show the night before Fully Loaded in 1999. Edge's first singles title, if I recall correctly (and I may well not).

I love it, especially because it's such a huge thing for AJ, to win a belt at the Garden? You know they're treating him like a top guy, cause well, he's one of the best wrestlers in the world and it's deserved

Amazing that the US Title has so much more relevance than the actual World Title right now... and almost any other belt for that matter on the main roster

Somebody didn't show up at the event and the WWF wanted to make it up to the fans. For a local guy to win the IC belt.
