I get that it’s an obscure subject but the closest showing for me is over 100 miles away...I’m hoping it has a great first week so it’ll be a little more widespread... Considering the critical buzz it has been getting, I'm a little surprised by this. I live roughly 20 minutes away from two movie theater chains, and it wasn’t playing in one of them, which I was not expecting. Luckily I searched online before heading there. There's three cinemas in the city where I live (in the U.K.), two national chains and one smaller one that tends to focus on independent movies and screening classics from the past. The national chains aren't achieving it, the third one is. Beyond that, I'd have to travel about 40 miles to go see it.

Just back from it. Great movie. Did a good job at making you sympathize and hate wiseau at the same time

Just finished seeing it. Great film.
Also I'm in it for like 2 seconds, which is cool.

Just got out of the theatre seeing The Room, 150+ people packed into a little old one-movie theatre. It was amazing.
Going to see The Disaster Artist tomorrow. I can't wait!

Saw it Thursday night, loved it. Succeeds on every level The Room fails. Also, I really want to a midnight showing of The Room again, I've only done it 8 times over the years...
And did a review, because this movie taught me shameless self promotion is ok.

My girlfriend and I went to a Westwood Landmark Theater midnight screening in December 2015 while she still attended UCLA. Tommy Wiseau was there playing football with moviegoers outside and James Franco was interviewing anyone who would talk to him on camera about what they thought of the film and its popularity. This footage wasn't used in the final cut. Then during the screening itself, they had film crews in the theater getting b-roll of reaction shots. We sat in the second row, just in front of a camera and sure enough, there we are laughing at the screen. I'm applying for my SAG card as we speak.

Saw it this weekend and really enjoyed it, but I would say if you're looking for a movie about a weirdo trying to create something and live their dream while being deeply misunderstood, Brigsby Bear is a better movie. Both though are awesome, so you can't go wrong.

On the flip side though, Franco's Wiseau was way more entertaining/charismatic than Kyle Mooney's James.

That’s not a dig at FAN; it’s just something I’ve found true over time. Never had a movie that made me laugh so hard and want to cry tears of sympathy at the same time.

I just liked it... I hoped I would love it.
Franco's Tommy was great, but I thought Greg was very forgettable which was a shame.
