I’ll start up a new thread in the next couple of weeks. As far as I know, none of the big leagues start up any time soon.

Going to my first game of the new season tomorrow as I go to the preseason friendly Forest Green v Leeds.
Leeds have made just two signings so far (both loans) so will be interesting to see how they look under the new manager.

Ajax have re-signed Daley Blind for £14.1 million, potentially rising to £18 million. A shame to see him go, but at least we made a profit on him.

someone will be happy as hjk helsinki went through 5-2 over vikingur gota Yeah, too bad every other Finnish team shat their pants and lost at home in their UEL qualifiers. HJK will be very happy that their CEO Aki Riihilahti (remember him from Crystal Palace?) negotiated a new deal for prize money, which will give them a minimum of 1.2 million euros from qualifying from the first round of Champions League qualifiers. Meanwhile, the under 19's Euros are on, being played in Finland. Watched a bit of Turkey-England, wasn't really impressed with either team. Italy-Finland was a thrilling match, with Italians (and their excellent goalie Alessandro Plizzari) being able to stop Finnish attackers. Ajax's Saku Ylätupa had three good chances and HJK's Eetu Vertainen had some looks at the goal. Plizzari was quick off his line to cut them off and was able to deal with the attackers. 1-0 to Italy, but a promising match for the Finns. Oh, and Brentford's Jaakko Oksanen was the best player on the field at 17. One to look out for in the future.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out for most of the season, with Klopp stating it will be a bonus if he plays any part at all. Gotta feel sorry for the lad, it took a while for him to start playing well, and just when he starts coming into form he gets put on the shelf for 12+ months.

A shame for Ox but as an Arsenal fan this isn't anything new. When he started playing well for Liverpool people thought Arsenal had somehow held him back, no, he'd put a string of good performances in for us before getting injured more often than not. It's a real shame but it's just how his career has gone.

Juventus have sold $62.5 million worth of Ronaldo shirts in 24 hours. Tidy bit of business, that.

And it’s official, Liverpool have signed Alisson. Loving our transfer dealings this summer. Keita (ok, so he technically signed last summer), Shaqiri, Fabinho and now a quality Keeper. I expect Sturridge, Mignolet, Moreno, Origi and sadly Ings to be on their way out soon.

Liverpool should keep Ings. He showed some promise towards the end of the season.

Liverpool should keep Ings. He showed some promise towards the end of the season. I love the guy, and like most Liverpool fans, I’d love to see him stay but he needs to play regular first-team football and he’s just not going to get that with us.
