Honestly, I think the angle they ran at the Montreal house show is how KO eventually turns:
His former best friend Sami Zayn is continually beaten down by a heel - it was Jinder and the Singhs in Montreal - over the course of a few weeks or PPVs and it just becomes too much for Kevin, who still loves Sami deep down, and it causes him to snap and kill whoever it is that is tormenting Zayn.

I would love to see Rusev as a face if only because it might provide an avenue for him to finally get away from the Foreigner gimmick that was sadly rehashed last month (even if that was a one time thing, I don't want to see it again). I enjoyed Owens initial run as a prizefighter who didn't care about being face or heel, he was there to make money and win titles and kick some ass.

Neither. WWE ruins faces. Just completely and utterly takes anything away from what makes a character entertaining.

Sometimes yes, other times you could be a Dean Ambrose type and make it work. Fact is sometimes guys work as a heel for so long that they accomplish anything or hit a ceiling so it doesnt hurt to try new things. Like could you honestly say that Rusev being a Face would be worse than the SAME FOREIGN HEEL GIMMICK he's currently doing and has been doing for years?

When Kevin Owens turns face, he's going to make a lot of money. KO as a face versus Brock for the Universal Belt. KO hits the F5 on Brock after a Swanton Bomb and a Pop Up Powerbomb. Your Welome, Vince.

Both will turn face at some point anyway
Rusev needs it more. Let his real personality shine through, and it will work out great
KO will reunite with Sami and that has potential to be great

Use Joey Ryan's face turn in PWG when Mt Rushmore was beating down Candice LeRae. "I think you guys got the wrong idea. You see, nobody beats him up but me." *Superkick*

Out of the two...Owens. It'd be a lot quicker a transition and Owens as face can be a big, big deal. Yep. He's going to be a great face. Hell, the fans are getting to a point where you can tell that they're dying to cheer him
