I've met 200-300 celebrities, the worst by far is somebody is hardly a celebrity, but a contestant from Big Brother called Daniel Bryan (no relation to the Smackdown GM), he is a celebrity in his own mind though.
As for celebs with bad reputations - Katherine Heigl, Shannen Doherty, Linda Fiorentino, Mike Myers

I've heard Chevy Chase isn't the nicest guy My ex hates him. Guess he stayed at a resort she worked at and loved smoking cigars but hated the smell of smoke on his clothing. So he'd send it out to be cleaned and it was never good enough.

Oh that one guy. He was the host on the Apprentice for a long time, can't think of his name, but total douche bag. Fear not, that's probably just fake news.

Wrestling wise, I heard nightmare stories about Billy Kidman, and they were confirmed last year. Totally uninterested, totally unfriendly.
Shirley Jones was kind of distant and only allowed pics with you in front of her table. Plus the prices she asked for for CDs and DVDs were outrageous.
A lot of times, actually, it's the agents who are with famous people who tend to ruin meeting them at cons and the like. Whether they affect the celebs' moods or make the process difficult.

I had met Micky Dolenz after a concert and he was super super nice and mega talkative and friendly with everybody, then a few years later I saw him at a con and stopped by his booth to say Hi and I told him I really enjoyed his concert a while back and he said "thanks, you gonna buy anything?" And i said "just stopping by to say hi is all" and he nodded and went about ignoring me. Then 2 years ago he was a guest at Beatle Fest Chicago, now the one thing about this fest/con is that the guests always sign for free, its very very chill type of con and all the guests are free...except when Micky showed up as a guest, he was charging 70 bucks for his autograph and 45 bucks for a selfie with him...the only guest at the con to charge, kinda pissed off the entire con that year. Even Bob Eubanks had a comment during his panel going "I really enjoy meeting everybody, its been so much fun signing and taking photos with all you beatle fantatics! shame that Dolenz just wants your money but thats business I guess"

Travis Tritt. He lives in my county, and both my father(a retired EMT who used to do first aid type stuff at his concerts), and my wife(who used to work at a grocery store he frequently shopped at) have both said that he's a self-absorbed prick. My wife actually carded him while he was buying booze, because, you know, "the law", and Tritt pulled a "Do you know who I am?" on her. We still laugh about that sometimes.

I've seen Raven, Vader, Abdullah the Butcher, Mick Foley and Colt Cabana all basically do the "Are you gonna buy anything?" with that look on their face if you try to just talk to them. I don't usually drop names like that but they all earned the comment, so I will. Colt was easily the worst because I've seen him do it multiple times to his fans. He'll go out of his way to compliment someone that buys a shirt and he'll be rude if you're there to talk to him and not give him money. After seeing how he's treated people, I think it's karma that he never made it big. I've seen Vader actually get up and chase a guy away. That was kind of funny at the time but it was also rude and unnecessary. Foley did an interview in recent years saying he's all about the money now. A friend of mine went up to him recently at a convention and he wasn't treated nicely because he didn't buy anything. Guess he proved it. One time Raven was being a snot about people not buying his stuff. Maybe he was high at the time. Who knows? It was a long time ago. Abdullah is a greedy individual. I saw some kid bring him his WWE figure to sign. He had a silver sharpie and asked him to draw a fork next to his name. Probably thought that would be cool since it was all in silver. Abdullah looked up and said that would be another twenty five dollars. He wasn't happy when the kid said he wasn't paying that. I've heard other stories but I witnessed these so that's all I'll comment about.

We saw him in concert at a fall festival where I live. Guess it's good we didn't try to meet him. Steve Carderas ("Rocky", Red Ranger #2) is the same as he seemed to be all about getting you to spend money. Or "pulling a Virgil," as I call it.

Abby seemed OK when we met him a month ago, but I have heard nightmare stories as well. First time I met him like 5 years ago he was either kayfabing or just being quiet/not caring. Raven I've heard about him being a sarcastic jerk who'd give the finger to the camera whenever anyone tried to get their photo op. P.S. BOB EUBANKS?!!? I would have said "Micky who?" if I was at the same show.

Do people stop to consider that perhaps these celebrities are "jerks" because they likely have people stalking them at all hours? They've got fans and the paparazzi after them 24/7. It has to get to them. I totally understand if they feel stressed enough to where they come off as jerks. Yeah, I know some people are just assholes no matter what but it's for this reason that I don't take the stories too seriously. People will say this is what they signed up for, but I don't hold being human like the rest of us against them.

Edward Norton has a shitty reputation and I can confirm.
He was a dick when I met him several years ago.
Virtually every celebrity encounter I've ever had was pleasant (even Noel Gallagher was friendly) except for Norton.

Zach Braff is a complete tool by all accounts. My cousin in law did home theaters for a few celebs in the NYC area and Zach Braff at least the way he told it came off as weirdly needy and trying to hard to become friends with him. It was weird Maybe he's just really lonely and needs a friend.

You get to see them on screen or listen to them or watch them etc, thats more then enough, they shouldnt have to put up with people demanding them to sign things or take pictures when they are trying to do stuff. You dont know them, so leave them alone i say.
