I only ate at Shoneys once, during this year's Mania weekend. They don't have them here in Vegas. Did they close the one that was at Lake Mead and Tenaya? I ate there once, several years ago. I never knew any even existed here, but it doesn't exist now. There's apparently a Denny's there, so it's possible that's what's in the space now.

I visited the Shoney's website out of curiosity. Closest one is 2 hours from here. Thanks, but no thanks. I looked as well, and I'm too far Northwest (MN) to get to one readily. There's two close to Disney property in FL. Might have to sneak out that way when I go home for Thanksgiving and Christmas

I love how the videos were seemingly designed to promote Old Spice but all anyone talks about is Shoney's. I think more people are going to be eating at Shoney's than they were eating at KFC after the first one, and they weren't even a sponsor.

Thanks, but no thanks. this is all the locations within a 75-mile radius of my house... 1 of which is about 15 minutes from my house, the other about 3 minutes. Sometime in the last 5 years there were 2 others (one about 10 mins from my house, the other about 25) that closed. Basically, WV loves it some Shoney's

If they somehow get Season Three sponsored by Shoney's, I will laugh so hard.

This morning Mrs. Asylum & Mini-Asylum went out of town for a Cub Scouts overnight camp out. Left to my own devices, and hungry, I decided I was going to go out to eat for a late breakfast/early lunch. And ONLY the Rolls Royce of Restaurants could satiate my hunger. Of course, since Susan "Poison" Candy requested last week I do this in her honor I HAD to document it and post it here..... Not busy at all....makes for a relaxing meal really. SO many deals and promotions... Shoneys you are just too sweeeeeeeet Honest to god, there are few things in life I enjoy as much as the Shoneys Breakfast Bar. And since they keep it stocked until 2pm on Saturdays (a fact I didn't know) I was able to OVER indulge. I was SO DAMN FULL when I left.... Bless you, Shoneys. And bless you Southpaw for inspiring this trip (all of 3 minutes up the road from Casa De Asylum hahaa) You Are The Best thank you and wish I wasn't so far away from one. The closest Shoney's to me is Southern Indiana. I am in Northwest Chicago....It sucks Northwest Chicago you say? Hell, I was supposed to be in Chicago this past week for a trip with my friend BK - yes, the one who posts here - we had to tickets to see Green Day at Wrigley but I had to back out due to financial reasons. We were going to stay at a hotel north of the city in Wheeling, IL.

God, I haven't eaten at Shoney's in years. Pretty much used to eat there probably a couple times a month when I was a kid, but I really don't eat out much these days. And even when I do far more inclined to go through Burger King or drop in Pizza Hut or something.

Shit people, imagine living in Pennsylvania, the absolute wasteland of chain/franchise restaurants. Having lived in South Jersey, I can say on the plus side, there were also Wawas.

Shit people, imagine living in Pennsylvania, the absolute wasteland of chain/franchise restaurants. On the other hand, PA has Hometown Auctions where you can get homecooked food from Amish People, and that is some of the best food I have ever eaten. Like they sell Barbecue Ribs that literally melt in your mouth, perfection.

I have neither this far north, but I've been to both and would love to have them here. Along with a Pilot/Flying J with a proper dinner buffet. There's one in Ohio that had the best Salisbury steak I've had outside of home-made

I'm a bit West of the Singularity when it comes to Wawa vs. Sheetz. Oddly, the Singularity is Lancaster, home (pre-buyout) of Turkey Hill.
