Sunday Night Stevie! Heat was good fun. Still waiting for WCW Saturday Night from the 90s. I need that metal door in my life. Yes. I need the entire run of WCW Saturday Night and I will feel like I can rest a little easier at night.

Didnt Heat have Kurt Angle "interviewing" Rock (it ended up being a weird al style interview, using out-of-context interview clips for the responses)?

with Heat now everyone can relive the glory that is the Big Bossman awkwardly wrestling Meat and his protruding erection brought on by PMS's torment

I can finally see if The Germ, that fat white dude that hung out with R-Truth (then K-Kwik) and tried to assassinate Kaientai from Sunday Night Heat was real or some elaborate fever dream I created...

That was a fun episode with Coach and (I think) Michael Cole in the lobby of the Hammerstein in front of these rabid ECW fans. Some of the Thunders were okay, I remember one edition in late 98 where Raven got a WCW World Title shot against Goldberg. Lol, I literally watched every episode of Thinder when it originally aired, and I honestly can't think of any matches I'd want to rewatch. Juventud and Rey tore it up in Thunder's first month. Heenan was also really funny calling Ciclope matches. Jericho getting lost in the building a la Spinal Tap before his match with Wrath is great too.

Anyone in the UK remember when Channel 4 got Heat and some PPV's? God that was horrible. Oh yes, the joys of not knowing what time Channel Four would be showing Heat week to week. Or wondering when they would break into a commercial during the PPV. It truly was a dark period for us. Or better yet, cancelling the 2002 Runmble entirely, which made me swear off wrestling for four years because I only had badly edited Saturday morning Smackdown!

the first few episodes may be choppy though. they occasionally had musical performances, and had music videos(one i know had "keep away" by Godsmack). I remember one where Trish Stratus tries to seduce Mick Foley when she finds him in his office crying after a slipknot video aired. This sounds hilarious.

And also I think it accelerated the transition to a PPV model for WWF in this country. I think Sky were always going to move towards PPV for wrestling, but i'm sure if Sky didn't have to pick up the rights from Channel Four sooner than planned, we would have got a few more non-PPV years out of Sky.

One weird thing about Thunder is that most of the in-ring promos were done in the ring, but they didnt turn the lights on during the promos (they did turn the lights on for the matches at least). They had lightning flashes/lights in the crowd, didn't they?

The Thunder set that looked like it was on a rooftop from a Batman movie is probably my favourite of all time.

I liked the first Thunder theme a lot. The random Slayer song didn't fit.

This thread made me realize that these shows have the same names as NBA teams.

It happened in 2001 well atleast The Germ did I don't remember the assassination attempt but The Germ was George from the George and Adam Royal Rumble ads.He worked for the wwf tv production crew and would regularly appear on wwf mania.

The Thunder set that looked like it was on a rooftop from a Batman movie is probably my favourite of all time. I remember the set being an Aztec cave. Was waiting for Olmec to announce a tag team match between Harlem Heat and the Purple Parrots in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.
