I was firmly a PlayStation guy during the era of GoldenEye, and I've never actually once played the game. But it's interesting that after all these years, it still has such a huge following.

I always used to shoot Defence Minister Mishkin in the face with dual silver handguns after he had served his purpose.

Best game ever
Been playing it on and off since 98
Last year downloaded an emulator and all new goldeneye levels some fans had made
I love it 😍

An absolute classic, i remember unlocking every cheat for it and how many months it took me to finally finish it all.

Reading on the history of the game is some interesting stuff. How they couldn't believe that the game kept selling so well every month
I went back and played it a few years ago took me a while to get used to the N64 Controls again
Also for the single player I still hate that snow level

I remember playing this at my friend's house. Up until that point, all the talk had been about Doom 64. This game just blew that out of the water though.
At the time, I really thought the graphics were amazing. Since I hadn't seen anything like that, it played in my head differently than I was seeing. So getting it a couple years later when I got my N64, it was still very fun but the graphics had been surpassed. Graphics aren't everything though.

How did everyone enjoy the remake on the Wii and the later expanded version on the HD consoles? I only played 20 minutes of the demo and the "thinly reskinned" Call of Duty criticisms made sense, but would be keen to hear from someone that sunk actual time into it.
I think Goldeneye and Mario Kart are one of the reasons why more people have played an N64 than ever actually owned one. I know in my brother's circle everyone bought a PS, but came over to get their 4-player multiplayer fix on the Ninty's awkward-controller wonder.

I played the whole thing and it's passable, It felt too much like a COD mod and IMO would've been better as a new title than coasting off the Goldeneye name (I was expecting N64 Goldeneye with updated graphics.....not what we got) Out of all the bond game since Goldeneye only "Everything or Nothing" & "Bloodstone" were worth a damn IMO, The rest are abysmal. Dammit can someone make a good bond game again

Back in the day I loved playing the multiplayer mode with my mates as we would always have blast and one time we played it for 12 hours straight. But last year I played it for the first time in over 12 years and oh boy has it aged poorly.
Though the single player part of the game is still good.
