Am I the only one who thinks this episode felt weirdly rushed? For sure. Lately they've been doing the 90 minute Survivor premiere and the 90 minute Big Brother finale back-to-back, but for some reason decided it against it this season. I definitely could have used more of an introduction to the players. don't know if it plays a role or not, but its an 18 player season not 20. No need for double boot episodes.

I don't see them double booting anybody. I am however hoping that she does use that idol as a pawn to make Andy even more paranoid and sow those seeds more.

This episode is definitely a case of Production were set on builing a false narrative around will player x play an idol because the actual situation was deemed to boring.

I'm glad that superidol wasn't used. I'm so over all of the twists. Last season had both:
- someone not at all in danger of going home being voted out by another tribe - someone who got no votes going home because they were the only one without an idol
You know what would really throw them, show? No twists at all. No idols, no super-dee-duper idols, no tribe swaps every two minutes... nothing. They're expecting all of it, so give them none of it.

Has someone that didn't get a confessional in the first episode ever won? I picked roroak (I think that's her name) to win

I picked roroak (I think that's her name) to win Roark (I think) got one confessional when Yellow Team H made it to their beach, I believe. As it happens, two winners got zero confessionals in episode 1. Tina from Australian Outback, and Natalie from Samoa. I don't think Natalie actually got a confessional until episode four when she won, so draw your own conclusions about how Samoa was edited from that.

Like, 90% of screen time went to Russell and everyone else had to settle for the remaining scraps.

bump for the upcoming episode. excited, but also paranoid because damn /r/survivor's got me thinking Ali's gonna be this season's shock pre-merge boot, and based on the preview it's definitely possible tonight.

Making a proclamation like this didn't work out for me last week, but I feel pretty confident in saying Ben has a lot of potential. I can easily see him as an endgame player.

As a whole this episode seems a lot more balanced. I can see any tribe going to TC this week, and the confessionals are spread out much more evenly.
