Being shoeless can have merits, but I think it's generally not worth the benefits, given it seems like every guy who does it ends up with feet injuries. It's probably worth the drop in agility to have boots or at least, ring shoes like Lance Storm used.

I don't dislike wrestlers for not wearing shoes. I really like Matt Riddle, Rusev (though he finally put shoes on) and Umaga. However, I do think it's a lame look and I'd prefer they wore boots.
Also, Sami Callihan in NJPW sounds atrocious.

Yeah, Sami in New Japan seems like a....weird fit. I don't know why, I can't really elucidate on it, but yeah, just seems wrong.

Yeah, Sami in New Japan seems like a....weird fit. I don't know why, I can't really elucidate on it, but yeah, just seems wrong. I think part of it is Sami's general size. Not to be that guy, but Sami wrestles very much like a heavyweight. But he's more built like a junior heavyweight. It's not like with Elgin where he's built like a brick shithouse where it will be able to make up for the missing inches he has. And, Sami in the junior heavyweight division in NJPW just...sounds really awkward and like a major clash of styles with pretty much everybody in it.

Since Trent's now a heavyweight, I think Chuck Taylor will also be coming in for the WTL
