Funny how Usos seem to be remembering this time fondly and people are still being triggered. No! You're promoting hazing and all that is wrong with this world because of this attitude! Get out of the Stone Age!!!!!!!!!!'bbnn!!!!!! It seems like nothing should be difficult in any way these days. Everyone wants the easy way out and it's a joke.

Maybe I am reading it wrong but Uce 1 seems to be talking about them working them out in the gym, like squats, running, lifting and the like before they started the in ring stuff. Uce 2 is talking about things after the start of in ring training. Yeah, things are getting jumbled in the outrage, but this is correct. WGTT didn't try to push them too hard in the ring. They just worked them out like hell in the gym because Haas and Benjamin were top tier athletes in pro wrestling and wanted the kids to know how much work they'd need to put in to keep up.

I just want to point out in the story Uso 2 specifically says "I set in for an armdrag". Like, it's right there. They've clearly already started training at that point.

So, showing them how the WWE workouts and moves should be done is now hazing?
I mean, you're assuming that this kind of training and move execution stopped once they were no longer rookies. For all you know, that's still how it's done.
You gotta remember, they are training to work in the premier company with top tier tv production.
They need to be in top shape, and the moves need to be crisp and tight.
It's a bit naive to think they should be trained lighter than what is expected from someone on the WWE roster.

It's always funny to me when there's more posts complaining about outrage than any actual outrage.

]Lighten up bro! It's not like they were trying to injure them. They were just showing them how tough the biz can be. It the same thing for everyone. When I had my first week of wrestling school my coach (who was a legit greco-roman wrestling badass) said it was time for a "sparring match". He proceeded to throw me around the ring for 5 minutes. It's not done with ill will. I'ts done to wean out quitters. 1. Wrestling should be as painless as possible. Just because it's tough, that doesn't mean you make it tougher on new people. That's hazing bullshit. 2. Yeah, no. Giving someone a fast armdrag if they haven't learned how to bump safely is reckless bullshit at best and cruel at worst. Safe and painless are two different things. Wrestling should be as safe as possible. But it will never be and should never be painless. And I can't read anywhere in the transcript that Jimmy/Jay didn't know HOW to take an armdrag. (that being said I just read the transcript and havn't heard the interview)

'Hass' was always one of my biggest pet peeve misspellings that people would constantly get wrong in the mid-to-late 2000s. That and 'Hornswaggle.'

I don't think you need to know how to bump when you go to the gym to lift weights. It's just the Uso who is telling the story pointing out how early on in their run that thing happened. Then the armdrag thing happened later on.

If that's the case, it's a very unnecessarily confusing and misleading article, but it's a relief Benjamin and Haas weren't actively dangerous. They were just dicks, which is more forgivable.
