As much as I would like him to be champion at some point I just don't see it happening. Any time it seems like he's on the verge of a push he just gets shuffled back down the card a couple notches. I've been a fan of his going back to his time on the indies and one thing that has proven consistent with him is that he's a great tag team wrestler. He's been paired with several people and it always seems to work out well. As great as he is in a singles capacity he's that much better as part of a team with somebody to play off of. I've grown to accept that. He's really good in tag teams as the ass-kicker.

I really want to accept the "Jinder defense," but if Vince wasn't desperate for the Indian market, it would have never happened. As far as Cesaro goes, probably not. Too many guys. Maybe if one of the titles declines to the level the old WHC did in its dying days.

Dunno but I'd love to see Braun vs Cesaro for the title some day

Now that they have two titles again? Yeah, over on Smackdown. It's just a matter of him having yet ANOTHER load of momentum and WWE actually capitalizing on it this time. They should amicably break up Sheamus/Cesaro in a draft/Superstar Shake-up/WWE WILD CARD BONANZA and make Cesaro an upper-card guy on SDL next year.

I think he's in a good spot now. Not everyone can be champion.

The moment Jinder became WWE Champion it broke the ceiling anyone with anything in remote of talent or look can be WWE Champion. There's no more excuses anymore. If Jinder can be booked as champion anyone else can. Sadly he will probably never be world champion in the WWE Jinder is a freak of circumstance. Vince decided that the Indian market needed to be tapped into and Jinder just happened to be around at the time. While it does open up the "If Jinder can be booked as champ, anybody can" argument, we'll likely never see someone on his previous level pushed to the title without a similar caveat. Chances of WWE Championship runs for the likes of Heath Slater, Sin Cara, and the Miztourage are still as remote as they were before Jinder won the title. Similarly, the company clearly sees Cesaro as a tag team guy, and I can perfectly understand why. His freakish strength allows for some innovative tag offense, his moveset is perfect for the hot tag moment, and his weaknesses as a promo guy can be covered for by partnering him with guys who are more comfortable on the mic (Sheamus), have entertaining characters (Kidd), or have strong mouthpieces (Swagger and Zeb).

Nope. He'd have a better shot whenever HHH takes over the creative end(assuming that he does) but Vince seems to be in good health and will be in charge for a long time. It seems to take outside circumstances for Vince to take a chance on guys that don't get pushed hard out of the gate, i.e. the steroid scandal, or WCW whipping their ass in the ratings. Cesaro should definitely get a run with it though, dude is being wasted as a tag team guy(regardless of how good his team is)

It's still baffling to me that they put Sheamus and Cesaro in a tag team. During a brand split. During a time when they're trying to push Roman. Both of these guys would have been perfect opponents for Roman. They could have gotten great matches out of him with their skill and experience.

I always believed he was deserving, but in terms of Vince allowing it to happen, it's highly unlikely at this point.
He had momentum and they didn't even give him a legitimate shot at the world title ever. He had everything going for him and there was the time. You'd think he would have benefited from the brand extension, but he didn't. He turns 37 after Christmas and has been with the company since 2011. And as WWE imports global talent from NXT, that stacks the deck against Cesaro even more considering he isn't a NXT product.
I would love for him to be a world champion, but I think their mind is already settled on Cesaro. He's a mid-card talent, a very good one at that. I see The Miz getting back into the world title picture before Cesaro becomes world champion (and I doubt he does).

They'd only just had an extended Reigns v Sheamus world title feud a few months earlier... Including one of the most underrated matches I've ever seen, their TLC match at TLC 2015. So brutal, but both guys were so cold with the crowd that they did not give a single f*** about them or the match.

That depends if Vince wants to take over Sweden...
It's painful how underrated Cesaro is. I hope there is something planned for him after his team with Sheamus ends.

If you would have told me just three years ago that Seth Rollins would beat Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura would have pinfall victories over John Cena, and Jinder Mahal would be back in WWE, let along a WWE Champion, I'd have laughed it off as fantasy booking. I've always said anything is possible, but I think now more than ever, we can really say ANYTHING is possible. I completely agree. If Jinder can become champion, I KNOW Cesaro can. Not until the Swedish market becomes as lucrative as the Indian one.

I don't think they'll ever figure out how to present Cesaro as a singles act in a satisfactory way and I think he's better in tag teams anyways, he's amazing in the ring but he never comes across completely comfortable when he's on his own.

I'd hope so, but his main chance was after the Andre Battle Royal, and they immediately ruined that by keeping him as a heel.
