Let's be honest, if the fans knew Jose Lothario would be at the one high-drawing card, they wouldn't have shown up. Or, had they put him on more shows, fans may have come to toss pennies at him. ?? Jose was getting big reactions for Watts as late as 1985 while feuding with the Guerreros.

I was at all the El Paso shows in 86 and 87. I can tell you first hand that there were a LOT of people at each one.
During the bunkhouse battle royal, which Blackjack Mullugan won, Mr. Fuji participated wearing his tuxedo. Someone, I wanna say Hillbilly Jim, stripped him down to his boxers. As he was heading back to the dressing room after being eliminated, the fans were egging him on. He proceeded to moon the entire arena.

As someone who grew up in Boston (Always WWF territory).....these numbers are mind-boggling.
Some of those cards that drew less than 2000 in Houston would have sold out the Old Garden.

It's weird to think about it, because WWE is Wrestling, but back in the day, it would be akin to a team moving; you have some fans that find another team, some wait for an expansion team, while others just give up all together.
